Place is gorgeous! Location is central. Clean restaurant washroom. Delicious food.So why the three stars? It's because most of the servers had their hair down. Old school I may be but our server's long hair was almost touching my food. Yes, I know I won't die of dirty hair but hasn't anyone taken Food Safe Certificate?
Went out for a few drinks; the staff at the Uptown location were very accommodating, patient and friendly. The night we were out a fellow patron left a bag at their table and the staff safeguarded it until the patron returned. It was lovely to see people looking out for each other.
Good food and lots of beer. Not too loud. Super friendly staff. New go-to place!
Another great meal. Have eaten here a few times now and have not been disappointed. Good selection and portion sizes. Friendly staff, good prices.
Oh it was a hard day. I had to head out of town to deal with family emergency; this place made me forget about my troubles for 45 minutes. Beautiful meal with long Island ice tea, did i mention they were both double.Amazing atmosphere and exceptional staff. Thank you.
Consistent and good. A little pricey, but worth it for the attentive service and tasty food. This uptown location has a ton of parking, but the lot can be crazy some times. The craft house in Vic west has a similar menu and a ton of beers on tap.
Oh noes! We got the dreaded good, bad and pugly review card to fill out at the end of our visit! ?Even some staff members picked up on the fact that service was not up to par, thus gave us the card but no need, thank you, though! You do not have to be a super flirt ready to get engaged tonight in order to work there, everybody understands that- but being genuinely friendly to all patrons without discrimination in regards to race or disability or age or number of drinks ordered (you are not my mother, 2 glasses of wine are perfectly acceptable) is indeed part of the job, hi this one server who could not wait to get us out the door and could not have been more blunt about it.Maybe other job opportunities await?Edit: I am not interested in providing more detail as I will not return. Please sort your staffing issues out on your own.
I ate here in November 2021 and ended up with food poisoning for 3 days after eating the Ramen for lunch. Unfortunately, this was my first experience eating out and using my vaccine passport. I emailed Brown's to let them know about my unpleasant experience. Absolutely, no response... Hopefully, they didn't completely ignore my email and at least cared enough to investigate the issue so that no one else ended up sick.
Disappointed for sure. Husband and I went for lunch yesterday. The poor hostess at the door was frozen. The drink order took some time. Other patrons who arrived after us had their food orders taken before us. When paying, we told told the lady that the hostess should be wearing a jacket but she was more concerned we decided to go elsewhere. Too bad because we usually enjoy it there.
TERRIBLE SERVICE, NO VALUE PLACED ON CLIENT EXPERINCE!!! ORDERED TAKE OUT, WAS TOLD 20 MIN. CAME BACK IN 10 AND ASKED TO CONVERT MY ORDER TO DINE BY PLACING ALREADY PREPPED FOOD INTO HOUSEWARE. I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE AS THE QUALITY OF FOOD WILL BE DIFFERENT. I SAID IT IS OK, I AM OK WITH THE TRANSFER AND I SAID I WANT TO ORDER ONE OR MORE DISHES FOR DINE IN. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT EVEN IF I DO NOT TRANSFER TAKE OUT ORDER AND JUST DINE IN AND ORDER ANOTHER DISH, I STILL MUST LEAVE THEIR OWN PREPARED TAKE OUT, OUTSIDE, CAN NOT EAT IT IN. SO, STAY AWAY FOR A BIT TILL STAFF CHANGES TO DELIVER A MORE ACCOMMODATING, COMMON SENSE SERVICE.
