I usually love this place, but I placed a take out order for a dish with cream sauce. They forgot the cream sauce. I was too far away when I discovered it, so I didn't take it back. Still yummy, but very disappointed. I'll know to confirm next time.
Enjoyed this Japanese restaurant. Good atmosphere. Great customer service. Fast delivery of orders. They have a wide selection on their menu. From don buri, to noodles to sushi to poke and more. We have tried a few and their all sooo good. I recommend this nice place on West Saanich.
Had lunch at this location recently with a friend. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious, quiet and cozy. The food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. It was my first time tasting an Imperial roll, and I enjoyed it. Thank you!
Got takeout for dinner. Spicy tuna and salmon avocado. $15 for the most depressing sushi ever. The tuna was blended up and mixed with the sauce, like a sushi tuna sandwich and the salmon was flavorless and gelatinous. Should have just got grab and go from country grocer. At least the avocado was ripe.
Pretty good sushi. The portions could be bigger and our tempura veggies weren’t crispy, more on the soggy side. But everything tasted good.

Tonight the two servers spent 97% of their time with take out orders leaving us, the only two in house dining customers to wait and receive little service. Tempera was under cooked as well. I realize that COVID has not been kind to service industry but please decide to either focus on take out only or treat in house customers with equal or even more, I would say, attention.
one of my favourite sushi places in victoria. the yam tempura roll is my fav, always so delicious! staff is polite and very welcoming!
We used to enjoy going to eat in the restaurant. Tonight's service was not up to standards. Two employees spending 97% of their time on take out orders leaving us, the only two in the restaurant, to wait and get little service. Tempera was undercooked. Appreciate the trying times of Covid but decide to do take only if this is more important and close in house service or give the in house patrons some level of attention please. No apology on exiting for the service either despite mentioning they spend more time with take out then in house customers.
Bon Sushi has potential but there were some things that made our visit not great. We ordered two miso soups but only received one, and there was a hard piece of plastic in the soup. The sashimi came to us partially frozen which made it unpleasant to eat. It was also slow to get our bill. The rolls were really good though and the service was otherwise fast and pleasant. We would like to go back sometime and give it another chance.
Best deep fried Cali roll! Plus the sunomono salad is spot on. Will forever be one of my favorites.
