Stopped in here for dinner after a whale-watching tour and it was the closest one to the harbour so we thought we'd try it. We were seated at the patio and the view was nice, thought slightly obscured by tables around the balcony. Since we are a big group they were not able to seat us closest to the view since there are only small tables around the balcony area. Service was excellent in terms of our server's communication and service level. Prepared dishes were flavourful. Snow crab legs were good. Unfortunately the dungeness crab was underwhelming. The meat was soft, which was unusual, leading us to believe it's either undercooked or frozen (we really hope not). We've had fresh crab before and this did not resemble that. Considering the cost, this was a disappointment. Thinking on this, I wish I had asked what seafood was fresh and what was not-local or frozen.

Amazing staff Amazing food Amazing experience

The food was delicious and our waitress was excellent. The meal was a bit pricey.

Delicious food, great service. We will go back for sure

The Blue Crab has stepped back up to where it was a few years ago: an excellent fine dining spot offering an unbeatable ever-changing harbour view. We were two couples last evening and everyone loved their food. We samples: crab cakes “the best!”) and calamari (amazingly tender Humboldt squid) for appies. Mains were the chicken dish, the seafood pasta and two of the tuna main (perfectly seared locally caught tuna!). If I had any complaint it would be that there was too much calamari in the appie… but I couldn’t stop eating it! We enjoyed a couple of bottles of a very nice Okanagan sauvignon blanc. Sadly no room for dessert. We’ll be back soon.

Hit or miss with the food, the crab cakes have shrimp in them which should be mentioned just in case someone has an allergy. Seafood pasta was bland, as well as the muscles appetizer. My wife's tuna was great. Cocktails were fine.

Not bad, not great, service was pleasant. Prices fair. Perfectly acceptable as a place to have dinner the first night after traveling, which is exactly what we did. Definitely not destination dining however...

Everything was great. Had a window table but people at tables behind us were too loud, some people don’t know enough to speak softly.

Wonderful view, and very good staff & Carly did a wonderful job, by giving me advice on a excellent red wine from California. Keep up the great service & food.

Outstanding humbolt squid. AKA Cuttlefish. Fresh, tender and well prepared.
