I love Beacon Drive In as it is an old style business. You can eat in or take out. They have parking and it’s right beside Beacon Hill Park. Their soft ice-cream is the best! You can tell by the taste that they don’t short change on their ingredients. Check it out when you’re in Victoria!!

After 20 years of loving this place my daughter and I are done. We've eaten delicious holiday meals, more ice cream than I could ever count, awesome burgers and fries. It was the go to place when family and friends came to town. There has been a change in staff and possibly ownership. The last two milkshakes have had no flavor other than vanilla ice cream. My hamburger looked like someone had stepped on it with the cheese and meat hanging half way out of the bun. The lettuce was little shavings and the three small slices of tomato were barely there. When I asked for mayonaise, I was told it would cost me extra. Yesterday I had breakfast there with my family. I ordered pancakes with strawberries, don't bother. My nephew asked what the Canmex was. The girl didn't know what it was or what went into it because no-one ever ordered it. Even the music has changed. Our beloved Beacon Drive In is no more.

Food was really good. A nice place to stop by for lunch. We thought it was a drive through but there is actually parking and seating available. We had the eggs salad, chicken fingers, chicken burger and oyster burger. Oyster was my favorite and a definite must try. Oh the ice-cream was also certainly good.

This is a traditional stopping point on any park adventure.A few minutes walk from most of the major park areas, parking on site is limited, but parking nearby is plentiful.Well known for its soft Serve ice-cream and burgers. There is no inside seating, with people having more than ice-cream enjoying the shade and view of the park from the patio.Kid-friendliness: Washrooms are available, and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal.

Went with grandkids. It was quick service even tho long lineups. Great for kids . Food was acceptable. I had the barbecue Swiss burger pretty good. Fries not that great.

Place has gone down hill unfortunately, used to be much better. The burgers are sub par and have been changed out for a cheaper substitute. The chicken and fries suffer from same issue. They are crisp but exceedingly average and both lack flavour.Ice cream is has been changed and also cheapened. Tasted very oily with a little milk, like cool whip, lacked flavour or substance. It would have been 1 star but the staff were attentive, professional, cant say enough good things about them. Even with all the hustle and bustle they were on top of things. Portions are good as are prices. Store was clean.

I love this place. It’s affordable to feed a family after an outing in the park. I also like how they hire kids just starting out in the workforce. I wish customers realized that and took it easy on the employees. They do their best and this place is an iconic spot in the city.

Best chocolate-dipped vanilla ice cream I have ever had. Family friendly in front of a great park, came with my kids and made me write a review. ??

I haven’t been there for years and couldn’t believe how bad the food was. I had a prawn burger which was 5 deep fried battered shrimp put in a doughy bun. Really bad.

Great little place for a wonderful burger, fries, ice-cream. Family friendly and conveniently located across from Beacon Hill Park.
