Overall, not bad and nice staff but definitely expensive for the quality.Cool location and lots of space to sit. Had pretty good looking baked goods; I had the breakfast burrito and it was ok; nice ingredients but nothing special and not heated all the way through. I also found the coffee a bit bitter (almost like the espresso machine needs to be tuned up). The staff were friendly and moving quickly.
Always love to get some handmade coffee, getting that actual barista skill behind the bar is a dying art in a world of chain coffee shops. And the donut was amazing as well. A little chewy with great yeasty flavour, lots of filling and a fresh lemony glaze.They also have a cute dining space and a little patio to enjoy the sun.10/10 reccoment.
Was excited to try the donuts, but honestly they look way better than they taste. They are are hardly sweet. They are dense with too much bread. The combination of too much bread and less sugar is a recipe for disappointment. This always seems to be the problem. Many shops can make a good looking donut but when it comes to the flavor, it falls short. Plus the donuts were expensive. So overall, not worth the money or the drive.
Always a great experience at Ratio! It did not take long for them to learn my name, they always have a smile and I always leave wearing mine! They do a lot for the community and are very civic minded. I notice they do not have a high staff turnover and that speaks volumes about management. I highly recommend Ratio for their coffee, the food, the donuts ( On FRIDAYS) and most importantly, the SERVICE. If not for the friendly service, I would not spend my hard earned money there. It’s that simple . ☺️ ( their plain butter croissants are sublime!)
The service and atmosphere is always friendly, warm and comfortable. I’ve been here for morning coffee and enjoyed some of the best pastries. Our favourites are the almond croissant, pain au chocolat, Ratio cookies, any and all of their donuts, carrot cake, eclairs, and galettes. I’ve gotten their take away chef salad and am never disappointed. The kombucha they stock is brewed to perfection. I’ve also been here for evening pizza (yum!!) and recently, their tiki night. Their beer and wine wall is carefully curated and an impressive collection. Their cocktails and food for the tiki night was so well done, worthy of a gourmet night out. What a versatile and gem of a cafe/restaurant in our town.
Donut Fridays are always something to look forward to! Ratio’s pastries are the best in town and I love their chai lattes. Great place to grab coffee or lunch, especially when it is sunny outside and you can snag an outdoor table. Service is great and I appreciate their support of healthcare workers and the fundraiser for Ukraine. My favorite coffee shop in Vernon! Highly recommend!
This place is a gem. Love the outdoor seating when the weather is warmer. Excellent coffee beans.Do not miss the donuts on Friday! We picked some up yesterday and the cheesecake stuffie was absolutely amazing.
This shop is a staple of Vernon. Great atmosphere, high quality pastries, and top notch coffee. They rotate the types of pastries they serve, focusing on a different type each day (Eg. Donut Friday). For sure worth going to whether you are a local, or just here on holidays.

I love Ratio Coffee in Vernon! I usually get a decaf or regular Americanized and the coffee is always consistent and strong. I also love the vibe of the old train station!
