We had the opportunity to stay at the resort and to treat ourselves to a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The Google rating put our guard up or maybe lowered our expectations. Not so! The experience was outstanding!!Our dinner included our appetizers which were very well presented, carefully crafted with texture and complementary flavours taken into account. The mushroom "scallops" were delicious and the beets with salmon exceptional.Entrees continued our adventure with the rack of lamb made over-the-top delicious with the demi-glaze. The rissoto (daily flavour) was a hearty second plate to the table.Sadly we chose to not take pictures and to be in the moment. Glad we did that but the rating for the restaurant needs to be much higher. Our compliments to the staff and kitchen for the excellent dinner! Keep up the great work!
The restaurant for dinner is so over priced and you leave hungry.. it’s one of the worst to quantity I’ve ever been to.. and that’s lots of people saying that..
After two years of waiting to go post COVID and booking spa treatments 4 months in advance, they won’t answer, don’t confirm what we booked and leave us cold. Really bad customer service for a resort with all the ‘ethos ‘ of Sparkling Hills. Going to Spa at the Cove in West Kelowna instead and getting a whole condo with two bedrooms
What a great place to celebrate special moments with those important people in your life. Love the unique spa rooms available to try out (favorites: rose and crystal rooms and the herbal sauna operation is cool to watch) The outdoor infinity pool has the most amazing view of the Okanagan. Loved everything about Sparkling Hills. Location, uniqueness, spa, food, rooms.
I used to think of this place as a five-star place to get away, a great place to take your significant other for a stress-free weekend. Unfortunately that has not been the case on my last three visits. The rooms were dirty, the facility is mostly closed down, the food was awful, and the overall atmosphere was nothing but negative. They like to try and blame the pandemic but it was really a lack of will to go the extra mile. When you pay the kind of money that I paid, you expect the best. Will never return to this resort.
The restaurant to visit when staying at the hotel, we’ve had breakfast and dinner here. All times we’ve been the place is clean, the staff friendly, and food comes out at a reasonable time. I prefer breakfast because half the guests can show up in the robes provided to hotel guests. Dinner is delicious, although portions are rather small.
You won't find a more beautiful view while you eat your breakfast or lunch. Menu has options for everyone.
So disappointing! I will honestly never eat here again. We ordered the side salad to start, then both of us had the Bouillabaisse. My spouse had one empty mussel shell, and one was sealed out of five (a high quality restaurant should have better quality assurance than to serve that). I had a mussel that was off (I should have known by the colour) and turned my stomach later. Although it was good, the “side” salad was extremely expensive at $20 each for being spinach and strawberries (no nuts or goat cheese for that price). We mentioned the mussels to the server and didn’t get an apology or any kind of proportionate discount, which you would think would be customary. As for the ambiance…it’s a beautiful setting, however, I was jammed onto a bench next to a pillar. There wasn’t anyone seated in the nice tables in front of the window? Then I ended up hurting my ribs on the pillar sliding out.Overall, it definitely wasn’t a meal worth $180, and that was only having one glass of wine each! We have been to many high-end restaurants throughout the region. This was incredibly disappointing for such a wonderful resort. This wasn’t my first time at the restaurant for dinner, and I had been impressed in the past! We were treated like our dietary restrictions were an inconvenience, whereas last time I was there a couple of years ago I had a meal and dessert tailored around my intolerances. Covid restrictions and constraints aside….we expected a lot more and were let down during what should have been a romantic Valentines meal. Next time at the resort we will drive elsewhere.Feb 22/2022 follow up - I contacted the management via email as requested with two email addresses and my phone number. I have yet to hear anything almost a week later. This is disappointing.
For a restaurant during COVID, it's pretty nice. Amazing staff. Great lamb!! But I definitely miss pre-covid buffet, drinks, steam, and tea room. Hope COVID ends soon.
Pretty awful overpriced food. The chicken was overly salty and overcooked and the seafood Bouillibasse was tiny and tasteless. Service was great but I won’t be going here again. Hopefully the new Austrian restaurant nearby offers an alternative solution for fine dining.
