Our normal Chinese restaurant was unfortunately closed so we decided to Order from here yesterday .And it wasn’t good at all.The pork fried rice wasn’t even fried and tasted chalky and blandThe chow mein noodle's were so greasyThe wonton broth was pretty flavourless and the dumplings were gross.The spring roll were store bought and were doughy inside.We ordered more but I think you get where this is going.I’d say it’s probably the worst we’ve had in Vernon the mall food court Chinese is better to be honest.
We ordered delivery for the first time and was super unimpressed. The “fried” rice was not at all and had zero flavor, the chowmein noodles were way over cooked, tasted like just came out from microwave and the sauce Uber salty, and the ginger beef was way over cooked. A friend suggested this restaurant to us. What I see lot of complain on Google review. but still wanna try out is my best friend suggestion. thanks We wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone.
It was the best chicken i have ever had the best place and best people everyone should try it today before tomorrow.
Brutal Chinese food - the worst I have ever tried. It was so bad, I couldn't take more than 3 bites. Seriously avoid this place, my meal is terrible. The reviews were good at SkipTheDishes 9.7 score. but they are obviously fake, there is no way this place deserves more than 1 star. Disgusting. Extremely disappointed. Called to order takeout to be delivered to our hotel. Was told it would be delivered in 40 min. We waited patiently and when the food had not arrived over an hour half later we called to see when it would be there. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude, and told us we had to pick it up and hung up. Needless to say we will never order from here and will not recomend to tourist.
k. First off I'm sorry. But wow. Worst chinese in town. I usually buy from royal garden . But they were too busy last week. And folks I'm being honest. The price and service was great. But the food....oh my... the rice... I could have made better at home in microwave. Ya know. The 5 min stuff. This was worse. And the chow mein. Wow. So dry. So nasty.. I'm sorry people. But for the sake of your stomach and toilet. Go to royal garden . Pls
usually don’t write a review for food even if it’s not really good or what I expected, but my experience with the new Golden crown restaurant few days ago was just terrible, complete waste of money. I ordered Chicken fried rice, a spring roll and other food. The food was ready with in 15 mins but most of the chicken pieces in chicken fried rice were uncooked and tasted really bad I couldn’t eat it after couple of bites. Same with the spring roll it was just terrible still frozen in the middle , I had to throw it in trash after just a bite. It made me feel like I am going to get sick. I am very disappointed. Without a doubt, the worst chinese food I've ever had.These people that are giving this place 3.9 stars and saying it's great food? Did we all eat at the same restaurant? Have you ever eaten good chinese food before?? Because if you think their food is good, you're standards are really low.Ps. I read all the comments , The owner always ask customer to text him or her and will fix this issue. Please do not ask customer to text you it’s privacy. Don’t you get it your food is awful. Change the way you cook or hired new manager will bring you more customer in the future.Best Regards
Ordered salt and pepper squid it wasnt fully cooked and obviously was frozen prior to. The portions are literally half the size of portions in restaurants in Kelowna maybe even a third. And each dish at least $2 more also. It is the same restaurant You have a long hallway to the main area. And i did not receive a receipt.
We have been searching for a Chinese restaurant in Vernon since our "go to" Tempasians closed their doors.Today we found the replacement.Parking is resdily available. The waitress (Cynthia) helped us with our selections and the results were wonderful. We went to the "choose your own 4" plus egg rolls. I strongly recommend the sesame chicken. There are approximately 24 Asian restaurants in Vernon and we believe that the New Golden Crown is the best of the lot.
Chow mein was decent, but the general tso and ginger beef was excellent, great flavor in the sauce
I was out visiting my friend in Coldstream a few weeks ago, and my last night there we decided to order takeout from this restaurant.I have rarely been more disappointed.We ordered ginger beef, and it was a soggy mess, complete mush, and much too sweet.The chicken-fried rice was marginal, made with dry old chicken and frozen mixed vegetables. And so incredibly bland, ugh.The almond gai ding was also bland, with the same dry old chicken and sad vegetables.I don't mind paying a higher price for good food, but this restaurant serves up a very disappointing meal. Honestly, I'd be ashamed if something this awful came out of my kitchen.
