My 17 year old son took me to Don Cherry’s for Mother’s Day dinner. Our server was Mandy and she was outstanding! She was friendly, accommodating, helpful and made us feel special. The food was great. The servings were generous. We look forward to our next visit to Don Cherry’s on an evening that Mandy is working. Thank you Mandy for making my son feel like a grown up. From one mom to another, I really appreciated it. Cheers!
Hats off to Nicole at Don Cherry’s in Vernon. We had made reservations for a birthday brunch at the Lodge Kitchen &Bar but when we arrived found that the restaurant is actually closed on weekends. We ended up at the partner location at The Lodge Hotel. We were given lunch menus but when I asked about our reservation for brunch, the server said the kitchen was in the process of switching over to lunch prep. We were disappointed but said lunch would be ok and started to check out the menu. A few minutes later our server Nicole came back with breakfast menus and said the kitchen would be able to provide a breakfast after all! Great news! We had Eggs Benny and a Denver omelette, all well prepared and tasty! The food was very good but what made our brunch was the great service from Nicole, who was attentive and smiled the whole time.
I came here with my colleague looking for some good food and a good vibe. We were greeted by a lovely lovely lady who basically sold us on the food and the place (sorry I don’t remember her name) we ended up staying some hours. The food was great, I had the potatoes and cheese with some chicken ( forgot the name of the dish too), I loved the location and the service was impeccable. I loved our waitress so much! She basically treated us like her own, she even went the extra mile to speaking French with my colleague who mostly understood only French. I’ll definitely be back soon. Love you guys.

Fantastic French Onion soup appearance and taste the best I've eaten in over 25 years. Looks like a great new menu with home made specialty items .
we were staying in the hotel, first morning down for breakfast was a really good experience, nice food, nice server. second morning was a different server, an old brunette lady. her attitude was the worst I've seen in restaurant servers. she did not come to help us order drinks when we sat down. we waited long enough for her to come help us order. when she finally came, she refused to provide us warm milk. she literally said "no", and claimed they don't have a microwave. we told her we ordered the same thing yesterday and she said she is too busy when she has only 3 tables. I think we were treated differently because we are the only Asians in the restaurant. we immediately shared this outrageous experience with hotel attendance. and we do hope she gets what she deserves.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Our food took forever and the waitress I had gotten was very rude and unprofessional. She was also going around many tables touching everyone’s shoulders and hugging them. Which isn’t a very smart thing to do I would say with this virus going on I’d say. Especially when you aren’t vaccinated. I think her name was Mandy. I’ve seen her drink on the job a couple of times to. Very unprofessional. I will not be accused for lying when this is just something I have observed being there. Say what you want. Your staff is unprofessional. Sorry if this offends you. But I have to be honest. Never experienced that kind of rudeness in a restaurant in my life.
Yesterday I had lunch at Don Cherry's Sport Grill - I decided to try the Beef Flatbread. What a great choice! Three different types of beef with cheese and a delicious flavor. So tasty when I took a bite. It is my reorder list. Previous time when I was there, I ordered the chicken quesadillas, it was a bit different - rolled then heated and a nice change. With the order the best soup - ginger beef and rice soup - never heard of it before - it was a must try - Our server yesterday was Debbie - great service and pleasant lady. I will be returning to try other items on the menu.
Been going to this place for years and always loved the atmosphere, the pool tables, and the number of TVs.I used to like a lot of the items on the menu, but now there's barely that same selection. I'm glad that the menu got condensed, but not the same pub food.However, the food I did get was great and our server was very attentive and friendly. Still gonna recommend to anyone looking for a good sports bar!!
