Hands down best chicken in vernon! I love that it's already marinated making it quick and easy to eat healthy. Quality groceries, baked goods and bread.
I had a disappointing experience at Butcher Boys today. Mockery seems to be how they deal with customers who make mistakes.Store protocol is obviously different in all grocery stores, what is exceptable in one store not necessarily in another. I get it.I brought two small packs of water into the main store from between the sets of doors to purchase and asked if I could purchase them at the courtesy counter.I was met with sarcasm and laughter by two staff members. It definitely was a case of the older silver haired staff setting the example for the younger staff.I know I'm only one person, and I'm not sure this post makes a difference, but I'm so tired of unkindness, when a smile and some kindness was all that was needed.HOW WE TREAT EACHOTHER MATTERS.There is no Courtesy Counter at Butcher Boys.Their's is a Disdain Counter.
This is a wonderful store and has everything you would need, but they have frozen uncooked fresh pies that are simply fantastic at a great price
This locally owned store has everything the major brands have - plus a liquor store right next door under the same ownership. Completely renovated with good regular prices and great specials each week. Convenient to drop in and pick up a few basics, or your complete grocery shop. Highly recommend and conveniently located on the way up to Silver Star for all the guests travelling up there.
Wonderful Grocery store in Vernon, BC. Fantastic service, friendly staff and a great selection! A great selection of local products, including our own Grandpa J's Seasonings! Great prices, check it out!
One stop shopping with a liquor store as well. A fantastic meat section with thier own butchers, and in house bakery that make amazing buns, cookies, and many other products. Ready to go meals and a full line of grocery products as well. Spend a few extra dollars for the quality, and support local.

My family has shopped at Butcher Boys since it was a butcher shop downtown. When it moved my grandma moved with it. I remember as a child always going there to get groceries and meat.As an adult I have shopped there faithfully for well over 20 years. Their meat is the best in town. Never any recalls. They always have a good selection of all groceries and good prices. If they don't have it they will try to get it if possible.I have always found their staff to be exceptional! Polite, helpful, friendly! When they see that there is a line up boom! another till is opened right away!Great store and staff! Recommend them highly!
The cashiers, butchers, & liquor store clerks here are just amazing! Best customer service! All of them are very friendly and I've really appreciated their smiling faces during this pandemic. :-)
I've been shopping at Butcher Boys since moving here some years ago. It's family run, and it shows. The staff are wonderful and will go out of their way to find what you're looking for. The butcher shop caters to it's customers at a level that surprised me at first, and that I've come to appreciate. Special orders, amazing homemade sausages (Chorizo, Boerewors and the epic soon-to-be-world-famous Big Kahuna!) and breakfast sausage, locally sourced meats and a knowledge of cuts and preps that have improved my culinary skills (thanks Adam and Chris!). The deli absolutely nails it with their varieties of cheeses (a 16 foot cheese counter) cold meats, sandwiches and whole roast chickens. The hot meals ready-to-eat are a fresh break to fast-food. The breakfast burrito goes down well on an early summer morning.The in-store bakery produces their own Alpine bread, our favourite. The veggies and fruit are always top-drawer. I can get D Dutchman milk here. The generosity of the Butcher Boys staff in supporting North Okanagan Hospice Society over the years is admirable with their annual July BBQ parking lot fundraiser, a social event I hope will come back again.I mentioned the staff, the ladies at the front of the store are the first and last people I see and one of the reasons I come back. Many of them have been here for years and know their customers by name. That... makes this store different from all the big box stores. If you've just moved here and are looking for a good, dependable grocery store, this is it. Thank you Butcher Boys
