We have been coming to the Kits White Spot for 7 years at least twice a month. In all that time I have only ever had to make a complaint once.White Spot to us means the end of the week and we look forward to known and appreciated family meals without fuss.Tonight our orders were slow coming (3 adults, 3 kids) to the tune of 35 minutes. The pirate packs came as per usual (but late), the fries were poor quality compared to usual. The adult meal (a burger) was blackened yet stone cold and arrived 10 minutes after the pirate packs. It was not eaten. Just to add to our disappointment, our adjacent table was hosting 6 twelve year olds (unsupervised) who were misbehaving and throwing food at each other.I complained to the manager regarding the food quality and felt quite let down by her response and her offer of resolution. The offer of compensation means little to us; I prefer to appreciate that these shortfalls in service for a regular and loyal customer family are being addressed, rather than being cast aside. Historically and in our experience, the Kits White Spot upheld pretty high standards compared to other locations.Sorry to say, we may choose to review our restaurant choices over the next few months, which makes us all sad.
Good spot for fish & chips and burgers.Nice people on staff - very decent, wholesome seeming people. would give higher rating if decor was more modern, music was better and uniforms for staff were abolished. If I worked there I would like to be able to show my tattoos and wear revealing clothes if I felt like it - so why shouldn’t ppl who already work there have that liberty too?
I really enjoy white spot normally but this was a really terrible experience.The staff were arguing at the booth about who should go and serve our table in the outdoor patio section.We were a group of adults sitting in the kids section which was a little bit of a bummer considering it was mostly empty inside.It took a really long time to order anything all of the food was more or less cold.Are waitress actively ignored what we were saying ie: "can we just get the bill?" "Do you want more Coca-Cola can we do desserts?!" "No just the bill" "is that diet Coca-Cola or is that Coca-Cola do you want more?"^weird. I feel like she might have been new but it was very uncomfortable exchange because we clearly weren't having a good time there and we're not interested in getting dessert or a refill when we expressed our want for the bill.But it tastes exactly like every other white spot you've been to.Hopefully that was just a bad night for the staff but it was not the best white spot experience I have ever experienced.
The fries were delicious and you got free 'refills', but 1 was enough for me! The burger was lovely as was the wrap. I liked that we were given packs of wet cloths as the food did get messy.
Busy! So busy! Had to wait for 15min, not the longest for this location but it's been awhile since I visited someplace where I had to wait.Our server was nice but maybe not attentive enough as we had to wave her down for everything we needed after the food came. To her credit she did do the obligatory once check after taking the first few bites.The legendary burger was as expected. The fries were just ok. The 2nd serving of fries was better.The special chicken burger at the time was just ok, not something special to me.The parking lot was so full but we did score a spot. The lot is large but it was a weekend lunch rush so it was hard to find a spot. I almost had to venture out to find residential street parking which is not bad around Kitsilano Secondary.My companion still praises this location as the best White Spot location. I cannot disagree, but it's just so busy. I'll come again, but only if I'm in the area and without lunch plans (like today) as there are so many better choices in Kitsilano which are both busy and not inexpensive for the quality.
Order nats hrty breakfast, the portions was well balanced as my pictures shows, coffee was classic white spot flavour and my bill was $23.08, I complain to world cost inflation but over all the Resturant ambiance, food presentation and staff were all good.
I have lots of memories of whitespot - all good. I decided to revisit it today with a friend. Long story short, it was good, maybe even great. The service was nothing special, albeit timely and easy. We both ordered the Spot classic club with a side poutine, and it came out in about 15 to 20 minutes. I only bring up the time it took because they were cold and the poutine wasn’t that hot either. Whether this is a choice of Whitespot’s or a lack of urgency/toasting the bread first, it’s one I’m not fond of. The taste however was amazing, perfect amount of sauces and meat for me and my friend we both enjoyed it thoroughly despite the temperature. The vibe is more or less typical, with a crying baby and music that could be turned up just a little. Good experience though, made me happy to return to something I enjoyed so fondly 12 odd years ago.
I came here for a visit (being from Toronto) and I'll tell you right now the one thing we're missing in T.O. is a White Spot. This particular location was great. I ordered ribs, an app. Friend ordered a burger and it was honestly just incredible. Please come to Toronto soon someway somehow. Fantastic staff too just had to mention that because they deserve the credit as someone who works in the industry myself. Cheers guys thank you for the wonderful service.
Eggs Benedict with the eggs poached made to order. Mine were perfectly medium soft and my dining partner's were medium. Delicious ? They were served with a bottomless side order of smashed potatoes. The potatoes are boiled, then deep fried and smashed. Very good ? The prices seem to have gone up, $17.99 for breakfast, but it was very tasty. The Sunnyside Up eggs looked good to, also $17.99 (came with sides). One of the few Vancouver establishments left with ample free parking.
I recently went to this location to pick up some takeout and let me tell you how disappointed and frustrated I was .I approached a young man that took my order and the gentleman told me that the order would be 20 minutes or so he recommended for me to wait in my car. Has I was waiting over the 20 minutes for my order to brought to my car but no food. To summarize the experience that this location I got the manager involved and he was very helpful and apologized for my frustration and gave me 20 percent off for the entire meal. Thank you to the manager of this location for taking care of a long time customer.
