MEET SCAMMER ARRON here in the great White Spot Dunsmuir! I came here to get an online pick up order and he told me he is checking it back, well I was waiting while he checked back but he didn't show up and I was waiting for 15 mins straights sitting in the sofa. Then he came and I was asking did you check the order? He was telling me it will take 10 mins. And after waiting more 10 mins, he still didn't show up with the order and when I asked can you exactly tell me how long will it take? He was like I don't know man, I didn't check it. It will take more 20 mins. So what???? I will wait in total of 40 mins for an order?? Can't I at least know this beforehand? What's the point of waiting 40 mins in a restaurant! I can understand the kitchen can be busy or lazy whatever but they can at least tell the truth that how long it may take!!! Time is expensive isn't it? The weather is getting nicer, I can have a walk or go somewhere else in the meantime but no they keep me waiting for 40 mins for the order!!Ridiculous stuff!! Ridiculous restaurant! Never coming back!! Picture for attention!!
Squid was soggy with oil and barely cooked, then thrown on top of the sauce to get soggier. My daughter’s fries were barely warm, even though our food came out in like two minutes. It was the slow part of the day, so I’m not sure why they couldn’t put a little bit of effort in. I was so hungry when I came in and was brutally disappointed and didn’t eat.
I ordered a legendary burger and it doenst come with lettuce or tomato... The server didn't even ask if we wanted lettuce and tomato on our burger... Pretty much eating beef patty, sauce and bread
We were 12 people to celebrate a party. The waiter was good. But the food was terrible. Every one of us had a very bad experience. Their alfredo pasta had no alfredo sauce. Burger was dry. Coleslaw was only cabbage with no mayo. Just dry. I have all the photos but don't have it with me now. We always go to the whitespot in Burnaby one. This is the first time we were on the Dunsmuir one in downtown. Worst food ever.
Food was white spot quality, and the service was excellent. Didn't get the waiters name but his attitude and attention to details were appreciated by my son and i
Yummy food ? ? ? great ? service and reasonable prices we’ll definitely be back ???went there with my daughter and her boyfriend… we had a good ? time and enjoyed everything ?
I came for lunch and it took nearly ten minutes for the server to acknowledge our table.I'm not expecting a full-on chat about your day but there was minimal to no interaction. Server practically slammed the waters and food down and took off.Yam fries was crispy but that's about the only thing positive I have to say.
Ordered food by calling, while we assumed White Spot could deliver to curbside according to information on Google Maps. Turns out the information is inaccurate so there is NO CURBSIDE PICKUP.However, all other routes (delivery, sit-in, and walk-in pick-up) are available.Bless the workers on shift today, they were okay to make an exception and still let us do curbside pickup. For anyone reading this, please know this was just an exception, don't expect them to do this unless you ask and they're ok to do it.Food was 10/10 so people can be confident that there's no going wrong with White Spot on Dunsmuir St.
Whenever one thinks of White Spot, their Legendary burgers and Triple O sauce immediately comes to mind. That’s understandable; after all, their burgers routinely make various “best of” lists in this Province. And it’s not all just hype – the burgers actually are very good. But then, White Spot is so much more. They have a contemporary and always evolving menu; their milkshakes are just as popular as their burgers; and, their fish & chips are surprisingly tasty. In fact, I’d probably put the latter right up there with some of Greater Vancouver’s better known spots like Pajo’s, Fanny Bay Oyster Bar, and C-Lovers. Very rarely do you see anything significant written about White Spot’s fish & chips – it’s all about the burgers. For that reason, I tend to view White Spot’s fish & chips as woefully underrated, which is unfortunate because they’re of exceptional quality. I’ve had the pleasure of trying this dish at various White Spot restaurants across the Province and, much like their service and warm atmosphere, it’s remained wonderfully consistent straight across the board: The fish – be it cod or the seasonal halibut – is always flaky and tender; the batter is always crisp and in proportion to the fish; and the accompanying hand-cut fries are just the right serving amount. When we attended the White Spot on Dunsmuir, this experience was mirrored to a tee. FOOD: 5/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 5/5 RECOMMENDATION: In these times of surging pandemic, the familiar can be comforting. In that regard, White Spot certainly fits the bill. A BC institution since 1928, they’ve played host to many of our family memories while concomitantly delivering exceptional food and great value. Highly recommended! Excellent food. They have lots of options for vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates, and a very nice kids meal served in a paper pirate ship topped off with some yummy ice cream. Staff were very warm and friendly. Restaurant was super clean. Table and seating was perfect too.
