Travelled from Toronto, and our Uber driver told us that White Spot was a must-try for our first time in BC, and he was right. The food was good; but the service at this location was amazing. Our server was incredible. They seemed to be slightly understaffed, yet still got things done quickly. I wish I got our servers name, but he was wonderful. So polite, so caring, and made our lunch even better with his service!
The food was delicious & the service was great despite being understaffed. The place was packed but the staff were quickly turning over tables so our 15-20 min wait was only about 10. We had the fish and chips and zoo sticks and WOW. Gordon Ramsey would be proud. The batter was delicious and crispy and held onto the fish and zucchini very well. The dips were fresh and complimented the crispy food insanely well. I can totally understand why it's packed on a week night. Overall would highly recommend!!
Service was great, food was terrible and greasy! The fries were refried so they were like chewing on rocks. Salad had the very minimum dressing. Unimpressed with the food. A waste of $$
Was there for breakfast twice. Solid quality. Price is comparable to other similar type family restaurants in Vancouver. What set this location apart was the service. All the staff were friendly and accommodating to a fault. Made the entire experience well worth it
July 2022 - we just had the most awful food and service at this WS. It took over 40 minutes for our sandwiches to arrive; the salad was in a warm bowl and the beef dip was stone cold. They offered to make a new sandwich but it would take another 20 minutes. They ended up microwaving the sandwich which made the beef like shoe leather and the bread like a sponge. They comped my meal but my wife's meal should have been free as well. The waitress should be embarrassed to have such low standards and to serve us subpar food. The manager did not even come by to apologize, NEVER AGAIN !!!!June 2019 - Typical White Spot food. Food is good, prices are fair. We visit here about once a month and always received good service. One time after paying I didn't receive my change back. Asked for my change and the waitress tried to convince me that they round up to the next dollar! I had to tell her that they round up to the next nickel, not the next dollar!
Do not go here. There staff is incredibly rude. I went for breakfast a few weeks ago with my daughter and they didn't know how to make a mimosa. Than when I asked for a different drink she made it wrong and I asked her for some water. She than gave me attitude and argued with me. Than made us want an hour for the food and it was cold when we got it. I asked to speak with a manager and they kept refusing. So they said they would cover the bill and told us to get out. I've been calling everyday for 3 weeks to speak to a manager and they keep refusing. I'm disgusted that this place actually is still open
Here is my cold, and burnt to a cold crisp legendary burger and cold fries 25 minutes later, I opened my bun, to a ripped in half 1/8 inch burnt cold burger. Then the audacity to ask for a tip starting at $10.63 being the lowest and upwards of $15.00, woah. Step your game up.
Food was cold, service took a long time. When you go for breakfast isn't coffee a requirement, shouldn't have to wait ten minutes and forget the milk/cream and sugar. There wasn't alot of customers, so there was no excuse for the lengthy waits we had to endure. Small servings, what a pitiful amount of potatoes, they are endless but when you ask for more, the server's expression clearly shows their disapproval.
We came in with a large group, without any notice so it was a difficult table and they get an extra star just for that reason. The food was good! Fries are crispy and salty, beer is cold. The timing of the food being brought to the table could have been better but White Spot is a classic Vancouver eatery.
This place is a story! first I would say to Nor thanks a lot for your effort trying get the most you can and outside the service nothing was ok. the food came 30 min late on top of that the food you cannot eat it. My pasta is swimming in oil and cob salad my mom ordered came with bugs and the sad thing is we didn’t find it till the end .I mean how are you having one person serving the whole restaurant is insane
