Beautiful interior, fast and friendly service. So many different types of waffle! Tried two sweet waffle, it was delicious. The fresh strawberry was a delightful surprise, it was so good! Milkshake was excellent too.Portion could be a bit bigger to match the price. Presentation was okay but it tasted great! We enjoyed the dining experience tonight.
I got the traditional, the others got Shrimp and avacado as well as a smoked duck and waffle.We were all very happy, the waffles were smaller than I thought, but you get a bunch so it evens out.Would recommend.
We had our wedding reception here, let me start off by saying the manager/owner was so sweet, she and her husband were so quick to confirm that we could hold our wedding here. She offered to create a sign for outside the restaurant, always quickly responded to any questions or concerns. They also ordered just for our event extra tables and chairs. The employees/waiters/waitresses here are so sweet and attentive, and for their first experience doing a wedding, I was impressed with how well they adapted to the chaos of at capacity customers and crowds. The magic of the day can not happen without the people behind the scenes hustling to make it special. Waffleland cafe is so beautiful and a sweet gem in the heart of Gastown, we are so lucky to be the first wedding and I just know there will be more. Cute, whimsical, romantic decor made it so easy to add little bits to customize it to our celestial/forest. We were given a little card/gift from the owner and a sweet card that we read as we left the event. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you again Waffleland team!
Not really sure where all the high reviews are coming from. 1) The service was quite poor. Coming in, I saw the server on his phone and came up to us as if we were bothering him. 2) the water tasted as if they had poured waffle batter in them, and didn't wash it out properly. 3) the food serving is not worth the money. You essentially get 1 waffle with some toppings for $15. I don't know about you, but I've seen better deals at Cactus Club. 4) these are not real Belgian waffles. These are Safeway branded waffles that they probably bought in bulk. Overall, a terrible experience. Will not be coming back.
I had the Smoked Duck and Waffle, and it was delicious. Duck was cooked perfectly, waffle was light with the perfect amount of crispy exterior. The mustard syrup that it is served with was perfect, not too sweet with just the right hint of mustard. It was a great experience. I also recommend the Bloody Ceaser.
Cozy waffle place located at the heart of Gastown. The lady that served us was friendly and welcoming. The waffles and drinks were pretty good as well. One of the best waffles I had in a while.
I had really high hopes for this place but the food does not match up with how adorable it is and how great the service was. The food is rather bland. I enjoyed the espresso and ice cream though.
Shout out to Mackenzie (hopefully i spelled that right). Great customer service having solo the front of house. Even when things started to pick up managed it with such grace. Compliments to the chef/menu. Tried the norwegian style waffles specifically the brown cheese. Everything was presented in such fashion very instagram worthy including the dazzling decor and theme set all around. Very cozy atmosphere. Will be back for sure. I even forgot my bag and Mackenzie went running after me. Really shows he attends to tables right away.

Will have to go back to try the other sweets on the menu for sure!We were excited but also nervous about going there, because for some reason, we thought this place should be the Disneyland for waffles with that store name. The place def had a cute menu.The decor was so cute and def IG-worthy. The service was so friendly. They accommodated a huge group well and efficiently. This hot chocolate was just what we needed this winter. Wish the taste of hazelnut was a little stronger but still a good drink. Will go back for waffles next time!
