I saw so many good reviews about this sushi place, therefore I go and try.The signature dish is sushi donut which is so creative, of course the taste is so delicious with aburi chopped scallop on top of sushi rice. The Kaisen Donburi (Seafood rice bowl) which is fresh and yummy, I love it so much. They have selected the daily seafood to make it unique, no regards.Service is also no complaints, I really enjoy this kind of small cozy restaurant.I will be back to try their sushi sooner or later.

This is my new go-to sushi spot. The fish is SO fresh and delicious. The aburi combo and the nigiri combo were both so good, I would get them again. I plan to take all my guests who are visiting me in Vancouver to this spot for MUST TRY sushi. Great prices and great quality. 10/10!!!!

Great little Japanese restaurant near the Fairview Slopes area. We came here for lunch...I ordered the Assorted Chirashi Donburi and she ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Donburi w/egg. Both were very good and very fresh. Also ordered the Foie Gras nigiri to end off the meal. That was amazing! The service was great as well. The only downside is that the restaurant is small with only about 5 tables inside. We will certainly be back again.

We've been to Japan twice, and we were really happy with our meals here! The rice was well cooked and the fish was very tasty! It was a relaxed pace to order, get our food and go, but we didn't mind. The staff was kind and respectful.

My go to sushi in Metro Vancouver. Honestly, since I have been to Uma, I just cant go to any other sushi places. The only drawback is the place is too small and you have make reservations days ahead if you are going with a goup. It may be overpriced for some people but you are paying for good quality and a very different experience. Trust me you will love it?

Enjoy a fresh selection of seafood here last week. They were short staffed so the sushi chef and the server were on their own for the dinner service. The server did a great job informing all patrons that they were short staffed and was very apologetic to all to acknowledge everyone’s patience for the arrival of food.Food selected:1. Himawari Donburi: really tasty rice bowl with a nice assortment of fresh seafood.2. Uma Special sushi: nice presentation and good variety of fish3. Uni local nigiri: uni portion seemed rather small - guess costs are going up for all4. Hokkaido Hotate nigiri: good flavoured scallopsService was really good with tea refills and welcoming and efficient server.Ambiance: basic clean restaurantParking: metered street parkingOverall a great experience and would return.

My go to sushi place!! Small and cozy, the dishes are fresh made. Quality remains the same over the time.Recommend tuna avocado sesame ??

Came here March 2022. We ordered 3 items which were very fresh. I found the sashimi pieces to be cut a bit thin though so you didn't get as much fish in each bite. The deluxe chirashi donburi is more worth it than the deluxe sashimi IMO. All the sashimi was delicious. I fell like I could have eaten 10 portions. The salmon on fire is kinda like a sushi bagel. It's not worth it as it's one thin piece of fish and the rest is kinda just for show. It's mainly rice.Service was average. The server was friendly though and smiled everytime. You had to ask for tea refills which I think they should automatically top up. The tea was pretty poor. Tasted like hot water and no tea flavour whatsoever.Overall I would come back for their food based on taste alone.Total $58.28 before tip.

Such a gem! I keep coming back to this sushi joint because ingredients are always very fresh and everything tastes delicious. I highly recommend their chirashi dons. Wish I had a photo but I devoured it as soon as it arrived. Good value for money as you get a good variety of fresh sashimi on top of rice. A special seasoned soy sauce is lightly brushed on the sashimi which takes the chirashi don to a whole new level! You have to try it!

They have sushi donut and tons of cool Japanese cuisine
