The braised pork belly bowl was bland, tasteless and dry. It felt like I was chewing on a piece for several minutes. I couldn’t finish it and was left wondering if it was just tossed in the microwave. The service was lacking and the girl who took my order looked annoyed. Not much for cleanliness indoors. Everything looked fairly unkempt. There was lots of dust and a few dead bugs behind the sign indoors.
The Thai milk tea with brown sugar was so good we finished it in just a few gulps I swear. You can really taste the Thai AND the brown sugar. The crushed ice was a nice touch too, easy to swallow up!
The Brown Sugar Milk with fresh taro wasn't anything special. The Capped Brown Sugar Milk with grass jelly (instead of pearls) is better.
The green tea taro latte is really good! The tea flavor is very pronounced and the taro had just the right texture and sweetness. The drink was also prepared very quickly.
The brown sugar bubble milk tea is definitely tasty, but other ones? Not so sure. Better get those flagged items on the menu.
I prefer going to the Jenjudan Yaletown over this one.Service wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. When we entered the store, the staff already looked like she wasn't in the mood. I asked for 50% sugar and 30% ice but she told me I can't change the ice because its fixed. This really confused me because how is ice fixed? and they had the sign in front of me that you can adjust your sugar and ice. The one in Yaletown always lets you do it.I then got 30% sugar in my drink even though I said 50%.Not a really bad experience but enough for me to not visit again, I guess.
Pricey, but delicious and very quick. Wish they had better substitutes for milk and sweetener, but super limited options in terms of those modifications, you pretty much get what's written on the menu. However soy milk is available, but no almond or coconut, and no honey or stevia.
Brown sugar drinks means that you have to choose a sugar level above 0%. The minimum sugar level is 30%, too sweet.
So sad to leave such a low star rating. I love bubble tea shops and as this was my first time here, I wanted to be adventurous. I tried the Lei-cha with Creme Chantilly. Black sesame is one of my favourite flavours but I had never had lei-cha before. The puffed wheat on top was unique and interesting.Pics show what I got versus what the picture looked like. Okay, not really the same, but taste trumps looks. Taste was delicious at first….. but then I hit the ice. So much chunky ice, and with the big bubble tea straw, I was sucking up chunks that I couldn’t differentiate if it was the puffed wheat or not. Chewing ice is an awful feeling for me.The entire bottom half of my bubble tea was so frozen and icy that I had to squish the bottom of the cup to break it apart in hopes that it would melt so I could enjoy the $8+tax+tip drink I paid for. While I appreciate the straw being biodegradable, it started to break on me. Maybe it could have held its structural integrity long enough if I wasn’t having to use it to break up the ice.One hour later, I gave up and ended up throwing out 30% of it. Such a waste.Redeeming stars are for giving the benefit of the doubt that choosing another drink could have been better.
Omgggg Yummmyyyy!!!! u have to try Wintermelon Latte but ask for it served hot with pearls its sooooooo delicious!!
