Service is good and food is ok. However, it’s the presentation that they are lacking. Considering they have similar price as breka or Starbucks, I wish they take time to make their products looking great. For my cappuccino, we we’re joking if I had a deer, a horse or something rather the usually heart or flower ?
The servers were very friendly and attentive. I like the vibe inside, their desserts looks delicious.I got hazelnut cake and pistachio. The nuts flavors were the best. Very rich flavor and light at the same time that makes it hard to stop eating ?super tasty snackDefinitely will visit again. Highly recommend it!
Such a treat to come here. The cakes are a bit pricey but the slices are generous. Chocolate cake is delicious and the cheesecake is a good classic. One should try their alcoholic coffees as they are very tasty and goes well with dessert?
I just had the worst experience of my life today. I went to pick up my daughters cake today and there were 3 servers just standing around talking to each other and completely ignoring me until I asked them for my pick up. One of them were the lady who helped to order my cake 2 days ago. She was very rude and basically rushing me to order my cake fast, I thought she was really busy but there were 1 table with 2 customers. I felt like I am begging her to get my order. But I didnt say anything and I was being super patient and I even left her tip as well. And guess what happened? She wrote my daughters Name wrong on the cake. I just cant believe she could ruin my lil girls cake like this. I actually had tears in my eyes. I have never experienced something like this before. I actually took time and tried few slices of their cakes before I order. Unfortunately the cake was so dry and there is a big hole in the middle after a slice and tastes nothing like the ones Ive tried from their sliced cakes. Im just speechless and full of disappointment. Im not sure if this Bakery take their customers seriously.

True Confections has been the tried and true dessert place to go to with friends for decades. We went to the one downtown on Denman Street. There’s an ample selection of cakes, cheesecakes, and pies for all types of sweet tooths. All of us had something chocolate – chocolate raspberry cake, dark Belgian Mousse Torte, & Devil’s Food cake. We all enjoyed our dessert choices. Their prices are reasonable. The slices are enough to bring home as leftovers. Their cakes still taste delish and fresh after all these years. Too bad their pies didn’t possess a wow factor.You can buy a slice of cake or a whole cake. A nice place to enjoy desserts and beverages with family and friends any time.

SCAM!Based on the reviews, I decided to place a White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake - 7" Layer cake for my boyfriend's birthday! On the day of pick-up, I received a 5" cheesecake instead. This was cringey as it would not be enough to feed everyone. The server mentioned this was NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED! (SO FAIR WARNING!) The quality was like any other cheesecake store. A cheesecake should be creamy and rich in flavor, but this one was dry! Also, this actually made my boyfriend SICK a day later when we did have it. I contacted the manager the next day, before anyone touched the cheesecake yet, who agreed to provide me with a full refund within 5 days. It is now 8 business days. If I had known this was to be dragged out, I would have gone in person and returned the whole cheesecake as no one touched it yet and this could have also prevented my boyfriend from getting sick! When I called the manager, before I could say anything, she hung up. When I called again, it went to voicemail (okay, maybe she's busy). When I called the store hours later, and asked for the manger, she did not sound apologetic and I doubt I will even get that agreed upon refund! ADVICE: DON"T ORDER FROM HERE! RUDE MANAGER/SERVICE! The diplomat cake is the best thing they make. The cake is so light but so very tasty. Whenever we buy something from true confections it has to be the diplomat cake. The chocolate cake is not bad, one can have that as well if wished.
