Ordered dinner combination B and D and soup. The sweet and sour soup tasted like pure soy sauce. The chicken and the beef tasted so bad and old, we spat it out in our napkin. The wings were hard as rock. We got no service and I left no tip cause of our disappointment but the waiter pointed out that I didnt tip. What a disaster Tropika
$120 wasted on inedible food. Gave our 5 year old his chicken satay before we sat down for ours and noticed how raw the meat was. Hoping he isn’t sick tonight. Our family is eating cereal for dinner tonight. Tried to find a contact email to let management know but can’t find an address. Unsafe place to order from.
For our family dinner, I ordered:- chicken satay- beef satay- pork satay- beef rendeng curryALL of the meat in each dish was raw and uncooked. Some of which we only noticed after eating. The food was expensive, uncooked and caused members of our family to be ill from raw food. Will be reporting this restaurant to health authorities.
I had been going to Tropika for years and felt it was better than Banana Leaf....went there last week and the taste has gone down. New ownership I heard and maybe even new cook.. as even the peanut sauce doesn't taste the same. The quality and taste does not match the price imo.
I came here for dinner with my parents expecting to get a decent meal but this was FAR from being decent. We ordered the Rendang Beef but they gave us a tiny bowl of soggy curry beef that was basically bathing in salty liquid. This is nothing like what we had of this dish in other places and a search of what an authentic Rendang beef also clearly shows that this is not what it’s supposed to be. It’s not wet like this. We showed and asked the servers and they were so rude brushing it off saying “that’s how it is” and walked off not wanting to say anymore to us. We also ordered a Pad thai and this dish just completely ruined our appetite. It was so incredibly tasteless it just tasted like it was mixed with diluted ketchup. The chicken dish in the combo meal tasted like overnight chicken that was put back into the wok to be reheated. It was extremely dry and not fresh. The shrimp was still cold! Overall, nothing we ordered were even acceptable and of good quality considering how expensive each dish was. The servers were not friendly. We are never coming back again.
Worst place ever. Dont even think about feeling like your gonna get a bang for your buck. $72.58 for something like this....
Tropika used to be my girlfriend and I's favourite restaurant until our last visit. My party and I noticed our chicken wings were not fully cooked. We brought it to our server's attention, but he barely looked us in the eye nor apologized on behalf of the kitchen's mistake. On top of that, you can feel their energy that they were waiting around for us to leave the restaurant because we were the last ones there before closing. Note, it was barely past their closing hour. After we received our bill, they asked us for TIP. You don't ask for tip, you work to earn it. Sorry but we are not returning. You lost a valued customer.
The best Malaysian food I have ever had. The google reviews don’t do this place justice. We ordered the beef curry, green beans and shrimp, hot and sour soup, bbq chicken fried rice and roti and it was chefs kiss. The service was also great and I have no complaints. Will definitely be returning
Nice old school southeast Asian restaurant.
I've tried alot of hainanese chicken in my life, and this was hands down the worst I've ever had. Chicken was definitely not new, and every other one I've tried has either been boneless or 95% boneless... This one was atleast 50% bone, I really cant believe you would even sell this to people....
