Really tasty and awesome value! Ordered the Tom Special Roll Tray, which had a lot of great flavours and variety. Sashimi was very tasty too.You’ll save by ordering directly from their website.
My daughter and I came across Tom Sushi as we were exploring all that Davie Street has to offer. As my daughter LOVES sushi, I knew we were going to try it. But we had just eaten and were stuffed.However, while we were looking at the menu outside, a young woman ventured her opinion of the place. She was not from Vancouver but a Canadian traveller. She said whenever she comes to Vancouver, she always make time for Tom Sushi. She was waiting for the restaurant to open as she loves the food but hates the wait.Encouraged by her rave reviews, we went in and asked when was the best time to come in the evening. They suggested around 6.We came back around 6 and put our name down on the list. We then went and toured the streets for about an hour before we headed back. We had moved up the waitlist and after another 15 min., we were seated.The menu is quite extensive. We opted for some sashmi and a couple of specialty rolls. All was amazing. The attention to detail was incredible.
A great spot on Davie St. for sushi! Service was quick and attentive. I really enjoyed their nigiri sushi and their special rolls. My friend got their yakiudon and said it tasted good as well. The presentation was nice and the restaurant wasn’t too busy at 1pm on a Saturday.
We went there for Sunday lunch and We really impressed by this Sushi Place. Prices are fair, Quality and freshness was just perfect. Great services by staffs. It was my first time to be in this Place and would be on top of my sushi places list. I loved the crunchiness of Prawn Tempura, It was just awesome. They refill Green Tea frequently which is great.
Wanted to try a high quality sushi and read that this was getting very popular.Definitely one of the nicer sushi restaurant I tried in Vancouver. However sushi gets cold very fast but I believe that is because we sitting near the door and it’s winter. Cold air came in every time someone opened the door.
Amazing! After 4 years I am back to this place again.I used to come to this place 4 years ago pre pandemic but stopped after they changed management and was selling over price sushi's didn't bother coming back at all.However in the past days I passed by and looked at there menu and prices and at first I was confused but then I figured that they changed the name of the restaurant and not sure if it's the same owner but I believe it's a new management.Anyway the food is top notch as they put close attention on the details on making the food better unlike some ordinary japanese restaurants out there. All I can say is I have been dining out all over Vancouver for 15 years and I would say I'm really impressed by the quality, price and serviced they provide here.
Restaurant is situated on a busy street with lots of other dining options. If you didn't know this place was here, you might miss the sign. Once inside, they have everything shielded off with plexiglass (unlike here in the US). Price was very reasonable and has good quality fish. Great for a casual sushi spot.
We couldn't ask for better service and food! The waitresses were very kind and welcomed us with hot green tea, passing every 15 min to ask if we wanted a refill. The food was fresh and delicious! 100% recommended.
Tried the food here a few days ago. The sushi rolls were really good and the chicken katsu was better than most places I’ve tried. The place looks very clean and the service was great too. I would go back next time I’m in the area.
Small sushi restaurant with modern decor and dynamic staff. The place is small but well arranged with proper measures against covid so you don't feel that it's too crowded and can dine comfortably.We got the salmon and tuna donburi, bluefin sashimi trio, an assortment of sushi and tempura. Overall, the fish are fresh, bluefin tuna was very nice and served with fresh wasabi. Tempura was light, crispy and fresh. The rice was a little dry, but overall good experience.
