Having a nice day out near the English Bay and you realize all the bars and restaurants are jam packed and don't have reservations? Try The Loft Lounge. This place is not as easily spotted by tourists as it is a little outside of the beach, yet offers a great view to the enchanting sunset. We have had great luck getting walk-in seating when all the other places are completely full (the receptionist at the Cactus even chuckled politely when we were trying to get a table for 8 on a beautiful evening). What's more impressive is that its Caribbean menu provides a good variant outside of the bar food most of these other places serve (and both the quality and price are decent). Plus the place is spacious, the view is gorgeous, it's one of the best places to finish off a beautiful day in a relaxed manner while filling up your tummy with yummy.
The crowd is cool and the view is gorgeous! The servers made sure we got the table we wanted. The food left a lot to be desired, the shrimp coconut was served at an incorrect temperature. We were not given the fish fritters we had ordered. Long waits for drinks to arrive and food that takes forever to reach the table spoiled the experience. Might go back for a drink but that’s about it.
Needs some updates on the decor or painting on the wall! Service is good, food is ok, i ordered oxtail dinner, it was ok. Reasonable price for an oxtail. Although it takes a long time(40 minutes) considering the place is not busy. But my server is good and accommodating. Nice view of English Bay! Might come back again!
Live Reggae! Ox tail with plantains and rice makes this place easily a great foodie destination. Great customer service as well with very friendly staff although they were extremely busy. Will update this after trying some other meals from the menu.
Went in at around 2:30 this afternoon, the girl working was the least friendly server I have come across in a while zero customer service skills! We were seated, she brought over a pitcher of water and glasses that were fresh out of the dish washer, the pitcher was dirty and gross had who knows what caked on the lid and black around the inside of the lid as well, the cups......gag had lip prints on them from the last diners that used them as well as food or something on them, inside and outside the cup. Needless to say we decided to leave and our son confirmed it after using the washroom, he said it was disgusting and was actually worse than the washrooms at his high school and looking around while we were seated the floors were dirty and around the windows and table bases as well, there was literally 1 person at 1 table when we walked in. Definitely wouldn't trust food from this place after seeing the condition of the cups and water pitcher, or the cleanliness or lack of the rest of the place 100% cutting corners on cleaning so who knows where else they ate cutting corners with things behind a wall in the kitchen. ?
Went here for a Mother's Day brunch with my girls and I was highly upset, especially since I'm always the one hyping this place up. First of all, there were several items listed on the menu that we were told wasn't available after being ordered. Like literally almost everything we tried ordering wasn't available. Then the servers appeared nonchalant, just chilling, while we were waiting on one of our orders. Come to find out she forgot the order! Then it's really replacing our sides with sides that wasn't even on the menu!! The food was not up to standard, especially the beef patty and jerk chicken. The entire experience was just awful. Giving 2 stars because the atmosphere and location was nice, but I honestly don't think I will be revisiting

Order an oxtail on uber eat everything was super tasty will definitely like to go try it out at the location.
