Great visit to the Keg Alberni once again. Able to eat out on the patio (but they are now using the covered patio between the two sides of the restaurant now) with comfortable seating there, just no open view to the sky). Great service from Anna who was friendly, efficient and attentive to what we needed. Food was great although vegetable side was a little over-cooked. Enjoyable evening at the Keg. Well-managed location.
Our waiter was great. Unfortunately the hostess refused to seat us any earlier than exactly 5:30, the time of our reservation, yet they sat walk-ins before us. Most unfortunate was the perfume of the hostess gave one person in our party a migraine. Perfumes shouldnât be worn by restaurant staff as in interferes with food flavors anyway. Our food took over 30 minutes to be served, possibly longer. With no appetizers and children in our group thatâs too long. We had an awkward table that sat 12 when we were only 8. We were disappointed overall. I like the Keg. This location doesnât meet the standards of the other Kegs.
The steak I ordered was a so-so, was expecting it to be really good.
Our entire evening was fantastic. The food and service were excellent. Thanks Noah for making our night so enjoyable.
The prime rib roast was excellent as usual. Thatâs my go-to entree every time Iâm at the Keg.
