We came for the burgers which were okay but not worth the price. Found them more dry than expected and not medium rare. The bone-in rib was dry and I had expected an easier experience (if it easily fell off the bone it would have been enjoyable, but had to separate it and it was difficult to cut). Charcuterie was good quality, crispy cauliflower was great.Service-wise was incredibly variable, the blonde server was warm and lovely and made our meal, others I found cold and “polite” in a Vancouver way. I wouldn’t return as the value was lacking and the burgers were a disappointment, but could be a fun date night for some types of people.

Lovely room, good service, we had happy hour nibbles and the chipotle skewer was very tasty, charcuterie plate not so much. Main course we had from regular member and the Brisket Sandwich gets a star on its own. Exceptional.

No need to line up for an hour at hipster places on 4th Ave when you can walk right in for an amazing brunch at The Ellis. Friendly service, relaxed ambiance, great food. Try it for yourself.

Not many vegan options which is unusual for any restaurant in Vancouver, but that might have been because it was the brunch menu. They had to edit the veggie burger recipe to use lettuce instead of a bun (I'm guessing there's butter on the bun or something?) But it was SO GOOD. Really damn good burger. Also an amazing latte as well, little expensive though.4 stars because it would have been nice for more vegan options, but the one I had was waaaaay too good

Cool spot with good food. Steps to Kits Beach

excelente food, drinks and service. we had a great experience in this place

Damn good brunch! The benny was everything we expected, and the fried chicken french toast was phenomenal ? Service was fast, coffee was hot, and overall a great place for brunch! ?

Great-tasting food, well--curated selection of cocktails. Incredible date ambiance (at least for Valentine's Day).My only concern, if anything, was two times the server was not informed well enough about the menu. First time, we asked what the pasta was and she had to go back and ask. Not a big deal, not in a rush obviously but it speaks to staff's knowledge and perception by customers. Second time, asked about the white wine blend and what blend it was. Again, she was not sure. Maybe a bit more training and briefing helps give the overall impression.

Hidden gem - fine food disguised as a pub. They nail the more complex entrees just as well as the casual fare. Spacious room with nice vibes, works equally for a date or grabbing a pint. Great summer patio setting too.

Been here many times and they have great cocktails, food, and happy hour. But unfortunately the staff have been rude on many occasions. Can be a fun local spot if you don’t mind unfriendly service.
