Good basic breakfast (eggs scrambled, sausages) in a friendly atmosphere. I was here just before 8:30 on a Friday and it was very quiet. Coffee refilled regularly.
Wow great breakfast. I've made other attempts to get in. Once my old father forgot his viccine card the next time it was to full.Really friendly people but very stricked on q r Vax info. Very clean, very polite, very good food and moderately priced. I'm glad they got through this pandemic without going under like so many other fabulous establishments. They rock.
A couple of friends and I came from Ontario for the weekend and came to this place for breakfast. We each had a different dish between the Blueberry pancakes, the Mess, and the Eggs Florentine. I can't speak for the others but since I ordered the Eggs Florentine I will give my opinion about that.Pros: Location is really close to the water, very cute place, great service.Cons: the food.- Everything was unseasoned (even salt and pepper were needed).- The hollandaise sauce was tasteless as well as the potatoes it came with.- We asked for hot sauce and, in my opinion, it was just a watered-down Frank's Red Hot Sauce.- Somehow both the SPINACH and the POTATOES (the potato skin that was in the food) were both extremely rubbery while I chewed them. Honestly felt like they just had a layer of oil on them while I ate.- Either the tea or the water in the cups they gave, ended up giving me cotton-mouth (awkwardly dry mouth) which was unexpected and also unwelcome.Overall a 2/5. Don't know about the rest of their food but I can definitely speak against the Eggs Florentine that I was served.
Delicious and filling breakfast! The service was amazing - the servers were very friendly and attentive and we didn't wait too long for the food either even though the place was packed. We ordered The Basic which came with pan fried potatoes and toast, as well as the Eggs Florentine. Real breakfast classics which didn't disappoint!
Found this little gem and had a fantastic breakfast with great service a big portions. Our waitress even remembered our orders the next morning. Highly recommend this spot
If you enjoy diner type breakfast food this is a great spot. They have good coffee and nice service. I always get the avocado and tomato benedict. It does get quite busy and its a small place. They have booths and tables. Better to go before 11a.m in my opinion to get a good seat
Good food, cozy and friendly staff. Busy as well with lots of regulars. Can be a a bit of a wait on weekends as it's a smallish seating area. You get basic breakfast items that are all good, but nothing crazy fancy.
Food was good but we were treated like criminals upon arrival. Hostess didn't believe my friend's Ontario vaccination papers, interrogating him until he had to cite BC law that he's allowed to be there. She then demanded that I hold-up my vaxx passport and my ID at precisely the same time and gave me attitude when I put my phone (with passport) down to dig through my wallet for ID.Incredibly demeaning experience - won't be returning.
My first time here. Just had a coffee with a friend but lovely service and great coffee!
What a great spot. From walking in, the service from Alma was great. She looked after us with what seemed like a bottomless cup of coffee to a great cook who made a delicious breakfast. Hot, great tasting. Just a great experience! Would recommend to anyone!Also a nice chat with original owners son.
