Had lunch here for the first time based on TA reviews. Seated quickly despite not having a reservation. Nice clean ambiance with separated tables. Everything we had was fabulous! Very artistically presented dishes, fresh ingredients. Attentive service. Would definitely recommend.
Temaki was open on Sunday for the first time so I visited there. Food was fantastic as always and staff were super friendly, great vibe!I’m grateful Temaki is now open on weekends as a person who lives in the neighbourhood because now I don’t have to worry about what to eat on Sundays :)I’m so happy to live in a neighborhood where one of Vancouver’s best sushi restaurant is at!
I can't believe I've never been here. Temaki Sushi has been serving the locals since 1993. We arrived without a reservation, but we're seated right away. The service was impeccable, the food was beautifully presented and delicious. My friend had the Gomae, Veggie Tempura and Salmon Sushi. I opted for the Ohitashi, Assorted Sashimi, Tempura and fresh Sushi. To say the least, I was impressed. The food and service rivals that of any of the fine Japanese Restaurants in Vancouver. I will definitely be back. Well done Temaki.
I've eaten here twice and both times were excellent meals. I was delighted with the selection and quality of the fish and the friendliness of the staff. I would highly recommend visiting and say it's one of the best hidden gems in the city.
Make sure you make reservations as this place is busy. Service is attentive and friendly staff. All the pieces of sushi we ordered were fresh and pricing on the reasonable side for most of the nigiri items. The snapper tempura was not a good value at $20 for 6 small pieces. The menu said $17 actually but they said they’ve changed it. I paid the higher price since staff were nice. The oyster motoyaki was done well with a nice browned top. The kanpachi neck was grilled well too! Chicken yakitori was ok nothing worth commenting on.
Temaki is exactly what quality and consistency should look like. I couldn't have asked for a better takeout experience! Tasty incredible food. Everything was packed in paper bags and recyclable containers.BEST nigiri I've ever had!

Highly recommend reserving omakase! They always go above and beyond what's expected to make sure you have a great meal. With excellent service and amazing food, you can not go wrong! I always look forward to the next visit!
Made a reservation on a busy Saturday evening and we were seated as soon as we came in. The sashimi was exceptionally fresh and the chef’s nigiri exceeded expectations. Service was attentive all night as our tea was constantly refilled without ever asking. It gets fairly busy as the evening goes on so best to reserve ahead of time.
Even people that don't eat fish can have a great meal here. My bro doesn't eat fish at all so we got the chicken teriyaki and nabeyaki udon to share with some appetizers. Overall all were worth trying.
