A nice night out with a friend: live music on a Wednesday. We shared the Malaysian lentil poutine and a Mee Goreng tofu noodle dish. Very nicely spiced (both dishes) and flavourful. Adequate sized tofu chunks in the noodle dish. Have never experienced a lentil poutine prior but was pleasantly surprised- mmmm cheese curds, what could be better. Enjoyed the cocktails as well- unique finds using a variety of ingredients/liquors.

Came in on Thursday night for live jazz. It was really nice to be back in a restaurant enjoying live music. The servers were all really attentive. Every server on shift touched our table to check in on us. It was a bit disappointing that they were out of some ingredients for their negronis, but the servers helped us find other options we would enjoy. Food was great as well. I’ve been for brunch too, but the atmosphere for live jazz is so much moreFun!

The service here was the worst I've ever had. Not only was our waitress rude and flustered but she was also wearing a pretty offensive shirt with a pentagram on it, I don't mean to complain about what someone is wearing but have an ounce of professionalism, you work at a restaurant. The only personality she had was miserable and disorganized. Not one of the cooks was wearing a mask and the food took so long and then when it finally came it was cold and likely wouldn't taste good hot either. Live jazz was nice, but I think I will go elsewhere for music and cocktails from now on.

Cozy spot with good drink and food options. Loved their truffle fries. Also excited to see they have local Jazz nights! Definately returning

Food was good but orange juice was $5. Some Servers weren’t happy and had a slight attitude. Kitchen staff wasn’t wearing a mask while cooking either from the angle outside the kitchen. Meal came to a total of $27?!

Our hostess was incredibly nice! The live music created a great vibe. The food wasn't great. The fried chicken was soggy and old. But the amazing service made up for it and we ended up having a great time!

Came here for brunch with a friend! Did not wait long for a table on the patio, which was nice as it was one of our rare sunny days in Vancouver. The patio has clear outdoor curtains which made it very warm. The crab cake benny was delicious. My egg was cooked as I had asked (soft poached) and the fries were crispy and tasted freshly deep fried. My friend had the bacon benny and also enjoyed it!Drinks wise he had the mimosa (a classic) while I had an iced coffee, which the restaurant was very accommodating to make.

We thought we'd check this place out as another place to catch some jazz tunes by local performers. Lots of pay street parking. Casual, relaxed atmosphere. Surprisingly good Malaysian food we had vs. Bar/grill food menu items also offered. Yam fries plus Mee goreng with chicken option and sambal ayam. Yum. We ordered their Strange fellow pilsner, sunset de fuca cocktail and one of their three red wine choices by the glass. $10 cover refundable with $ 30 food/drink purchase.

Tried new spot for breakfast with the family. We will definitely be back again!!!First, the inside was warm and inviting. Staff was friendly and our server Victoria was great. Definitely a place you can take friends or family too.Food was great. We only went their for breakfast but considering how fantastic the breakfast items tasted, their lunch and dinner should be as good or better. Review on those for another time.We ordered their Bacon Eggs Bennie, chorizo scramble (nice heat) cheddar omelett (lots of cheese), pancakes, waffles and French toast (nice balance of cinnamon). All were very tasty, especially their hash browns which were perfect baked potato cubes.Must try spot for breakfast! You won't be disappointed and place can get busy. Was a full house during our visit.

Had originally wanted to try LIVIA but of course, no where on Commercial takes reservations for weekend brunch (was told a 45-60 min wait). After doing some research, I had put Tangent Cafe down as a back up to check out and headed there. Was immediately seated at a table with no wait. The food was amazing and very filling. I would definitely go again and recommend. ☺️
