My all time favorite Sushi place. This restaurant is really a hidden spot near Joyce skytrain station. A rare Japanese restaurant.Price is very cheap compared with what other restaurants charge. Deluxe Nigiri Combo can be a must try item. Other combos are super tasty as well. Prawn Tempuras tasted so juicy and each item is very much unique. They always try their best to prepare it quickly for you and obviously on your demand. Takeout options are very convenient. Besides, street parking is always availableWill keep coming back to support this local restaurant..
First time ordering from here and was amazed with service and the food was so good!!! Sushi was all fresh and the sashimi were huge. Great value and will definitely order again. The part I love is the pieces don’t fall apart when you pick it up.The only thing I have to say is they give you paper bags so with a large order it is hard to hold. I wish there were handles on the bags to carry.
They were realy nice and quick however, our yam tempura was extremely oily and the oil tasted so old, smoked salmon cream cheese roll was so basic and the Salomon tasted more like tuna!!!!!! We got some other rolls that were okay, But unfortunately after eating that oily tempura, eating more than 2 pieces were impossible…
Delicious and fair priced sushi takeout. Over the last few months I’ve ordered from Sushi Taku for takeout sushi. Every time I’ve ordered my order is prepared quickly, I never have to wait.Parking can be tricky outside but I’m usually able to find a quick spot to stop at on the side streets. The cashier is always helpful, and is super accurate in taking my order. When I do order (on the phone), I use their website menu and it is easy to navigate, clear, and up to date.No frills, no confusion, just order my sushi and pick it up. I will continue to return here for my sushi takeout!
Delicious house rolls at reasonable price. Also, takeout was super friendly and efficient.
Ordered some dishes from Sushi Taku to complement other foods we were having for New Years dinner. My son wanted to trythe Sushu Pizza. We also tried Mango Mango Roll and Beef Tataki Roll. All were different and tasty. Sushi Pizza, isn't shaped as a pizza, which was a let down. But overall, Sushi rolls were delicious.
I ordered party tray C for dinner. I was quite disappointed as they have pretty high review. Tuna roll, salmon roll and all nigiri sushi were so so, rice and seaweed were hard. I feel like they were pre-made long time ago. But I pretty like their dynamite roll and chopped scallops roll ($2 extra), taste was good and surprisingly the rice was not hard, not sure why…maybe they were from different batch? Lol
Great sushi. And what I love most is that it is open until 9. One of the few places open until the hour in the area. The Alaska and BC roll are great.
Fast, friendly, excellent value. One of the last few neighborhood restaurants that focus on the food rather than the facade - support it before gentrification takes it's toll.
I ordered based on Google reviews and this was not as advertised.Order the followingSpicy Agedashi Tofu - This was the best item out of the entire meal but nothing special.Veggie Gyoza - Overcooked and hard to eat.California Roll x 2 - Worst rolls I have ever tried. Ate 2 pieces and threw the rest away. Rice was definitely old.Avocado Roll x 2 - Rice was old, which made it tast terribleYam roll - Tasted hard and overcooked.Veggie Tempura - Super oilyTheir service was great but thats about it. Im not a picky eater and this was just terrible.
