Really excellent food. We loved it . Was our first time trying Magen. The only thing is that the waitress mentioned that gratuity is included in the prices ? We didn’t notice it end up tipping twice in reality. They should not offer the tip option when using the credit card machine when the restaurant already added it to the bill
Best sushi I’ve had in Vancouver so far!!We came in on a whim and we’re pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is calm and quiet and the menus are detailed and beautiful written with nice photos.They only had a few servers and we were worried that service might be slow but it wasn’t at all! The servers were friendly and super attentive.We ordered bento boxes and one extra roll each thinking the boxes might not be enough food but we couldn’t even finish the boxes! The food quantity and quality is worth the (insanely reasonable) price.The only issue we found was that the menu didn’t specify the dumplings in the chicken teriyaki box were pork dumplings, my partner doesn’t eat pork so we just switched items.We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for an amazing experience!
This without a doubt is one of the best sushi places you can go for gallery level rolls that won't break your bankThey are so beautiful and plated elegantly. Terrific experience. Eager to return.
Went twice over two days.1st time around, got the food pretty quickly. Excellent presentation, taste and quality. Loved it so much I went again the next day with more people.2nd time around, we waited a whole hour for the food to arrive and when it finally did, it was beyond closing time and the servers were rushing us to pay the bill, which signals to us they want us to leave. It hadn't even been 5 mins since we started eating and we felt very rushed as a result of it. Definitely do not go there close to closing time because it will ruin your enjoyment of the meal and you'll feel pressure to finish it fast. That being said the food quality and presentation was still excellent.
Wonderful sushi with some very impressive plating and some very interesting rolls on an impressive menu.We ran out of space at our table since we ordered so much and service was so quick! This is definitely one of the better sushi places in downtown Vancouver - and it's correspondingly very busy to reflect that. They have a small space so be prepared to possibly wait...but it's certainly sushi that's worth waiting for.Service is attentive since you're always within view in such a small space. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you receive. Although the menu was large, everything we tried was excellent and the quality of the raw fish was top tier.
One of the most amazing Sushi places we've tried in Vancouver. It has amazing options for both vegetarian sushi and of course, sea food sushi! The service was fast and friendly! The food OMG the food was mind blowing! We ordered Veggie Gyoza, Mango Oshi Sushi, Spicy Salmon Oshi, Triple Spicy Sushi and everything was finger licking good. In fact my mouth is watering while writing this review! Definitely a must go and 10 star ratings all the way!
This place was amazing. Even sitting at the little bar by the chefs I still felt comfortable eating. Although the plates are so big but the presentation is great! ?? The taste was amazing! I enjoyed all the we ordered today!! OMG so good!!! ??? The service was amazing as well. The server helped my friend with a recommendation as she was having some trouble deciding what to order. I thought it was really nice of her to have patience and help out!
I ordered the 903 roll, spicy salmon and a salmon avocado roll.The service was attentive and the sushi tasted fresh. The 903 roll tasted slightly sweeter than I anticipated, but not overpowering. The spicy salmon roll was also good and I liked the spicy sauce, however, it was a little bit overkill. Had to remove the majority of the sauce on some of the pieces.Would go again and try other special or epic rolls.
Amazing place and delicious food. Loved all the variety and quality of sushi and rolls! Definetely recommended if you like makis and special rolls. Great value and portions. The service on the other hand was not so good. We waited over 1 hour and other people that came after us were called first. Then we got charged 18% gratuity for being a group even though we were a party of 5 and the service was not good.
