This placed smelled really good, so I had to try the Smoked Salmon Chowder. I would say it was pretty flavorful, but not stunning. The chowder was a little thin / watery, I would've liked it to be a thicker consistency. Also the potato to Salmon ratio is definitely leaning more heavily on the potato side. Overall, still decent, but probably wouldn't get that chowder again.

We've had a few soups from here now and have found we need to add a lot of spices to flavour them up. The ingredients and texture are very nice, but overall most soups have been quite bland, especially considering the price point for a bag.

Do you want to up your cooking game? The stocks and bases here are so much better than anything you'll get at the grocery store. When I'm making something extra special, this is my first stop.Don't serve your steak with their demi-glace? That's your mistake, but it's easily remedied! They also have myriad soups, which seem to be the biggest draw.Absolutely worth the trip to the somewhat hectic and stressful market

I was shopping with my daughter at Granville Island and stopped at the Stock Market to look at their soups to take home. I’ve had their soups before a long time ago and seem to remember they were good. After looking at our options my daughter decided on the chicken noodle, which I thought was a safe choice that everyone at home could enjoy. We prepared it that evening. On my first bite I immediately noticed the sharp taste of ginger. And everyone else did too. I thought it was accidentally put in but I looked at the ingredients list and saw it listed. I suppose it’s my fault for not checking the ingredients, but chicken noodle soup tends to follow a traditional set of ingredients no matter where you go, and ginger isn’t one of them. In any case, no one liked it and we the threw it out. Read the ingredient list!

Ok, who’s giving anything but five starts for this place? I tried the chicken noodle soup while my sister had the chowder. Chicken noodle was missing some salt but nothing those little bags can’t solve. For the second one, we ran there before it closed to get the chowder one again. It was perfect and the focaccia was great as well!

Worst chowder I've had in my life. Flavorless and tasted they didn't cook it long enough. I couldn't finish, it was very bad.

The location at UBC tastes so much better in my opinion... not sure the difference

We were looking for clam chowder but their soup varies everyday. We were able to try salmon soup and a vegetable soup with mushroom. Both are good.

Great Chicken Noodle Soup (packaged)... full of noodles, vegetables and chicken. I find other places has more soup than noodle but this place has a super huge ratio of noodles, almost more than the soup! Flavourful, easy to heat up. Great on a rainy Vancouver day.

Terribly weak soup. I got the broccoli and cheddar soup but it was all broccoli and absolutely no cheddar at all. I assumed it was a cream based soup as well but it just tasted like broccoli and boiled water. Avoid this place as much as possible. I went somewhere else (The Lobster Man) for a clam chowder and it was much better than this.
