Sing Sing was...let's just say we ended up getting fries because it was one of the least expensive and few 'non-asian' items on the menu ?. You would think people should come here for the Asian food since after all it is supposed to be an "Asian restaurant"...but honestly it is quite the opposite. Lets just say if Uncle Rogers ate here...they'd get a "Haiiiyaaaaaa" review. ?3 stars because the servers were friendly and the decor/vibe was nice.
The pizza was just *chefs kiss*. We ordered the pesto shrimp pizza, thin crust and soft chewy edges. They also have a great selection of craft beers. We will definitely come back and try the other pizzas and bowls!
Always packed and finally got to try this place for the first time!Only complaint I have is that this place is as loud as a nightclub, I can’t even hear my friends talking lol.Food is decent, service is excellent, beer/wine selection is good, and the price is really cheap considering the high inflation rate right now. Most importantly, their portion is so generous I was literally shocked when I saw the food. It’s a good place to get some decent food and beer at an affordable price!
The ambiance here was really nice. Super buzzing for a late weeknight. Maybe because the Canucks were losing on tv as usual. We ordered their beef pho (more like a beef noodle soup) which wasn’t like the usual pho’s I have had. Found the beef cuts to be thick and heavenly but the broth was super salty. The portion size was also enough to feed a 2 people. If you’re expecting authentic, this ain’t it. The cocktails were cute.
Amazing place, food tasted surprisingly AMAZING! Definitely recommend ordering a few dishes and sharing it with your table! My personal fav was the shrimp pizza and the cumin beef. Fries portions are huge.
I go for pho quite often, but this pho was the worst ever ive tried in Vancouver! It was like less hot latte temperature and quite salty. Soup dosent have any flavor but all green herbs taste. It is not pleasant the food was served in a chipped bowl like that too.
Really nice place. Good food and ambience. Went with my partner and a friend, and we had a great time.
I have been curious about Sing Sing for awhile now, ever since they opened over 2 years ago. What sets Sing Sing apart from other pubs in Vancouver is that they serve Vietnamese food as well. I haven’t seen this unique combo but I was also hesitant to try pho served at a pub.
Honestly always have a great time at Sing Sing! You can seat yourselves in the evenings now, and the servers are always very nice. My two go to dishes are the grilled avocado and tofu bowl and the chicken katsu burger with the rosemary fries. Both are flavourful and super delicious. The calamari is also an amazing appetizer with the salsa verde sauce.
An asian fusion bar/restaurant on Main street. It is part of the Donnelly Group. The space is quite big but it was very busy even on a weekday night. We went on a Wednesday night around 9pm and there was a line-up.The drink choices were good, good choices for tap beer. The food was okay, some items were great (like the califlower and greens), but the Pho was so-so. Overall, I had fun and I would go again.
