Rarely find a bagel place in Vancouver. Their lox is good. The bagel crust is too tough but the everything bagel’s toppings are good! Highly recommend Montreal bagel cause its worth the money!
I came here once right at opening and my bagel was great! Love the cream cheese and bagel varieties! Came here once towards the end of the day and my bagel was hard as a bullet. Still good though.
I used to love siegel's bagels. I had a sesame bagel with blueberry cream cheese for breakfast every time i worked at granville island. It was great! Today my mother got one and although she used to love these bagels too, today she said it was rather inedible. I ate half of it and I realize that the cream cheese was...awful. It did not taste like your typical philadelphia cream cheese; it tasted more so like butter and it didn't taste fresh at all. We thought the bagel was okay (i remember it tasting better...) but we had to scrape off all the cream cheese for it to taste good. The flavored cream cheeses are great but for some reason the regular cream cheese was pretty gross, and it seems like that is normally the case based on the other review.
I have to say their bagel is pretty perfect. Like if I craved a bagel, this would be the perfect bagel to hit the spot.Tried their Rosemary Rocksalt Bagel with their housemade Chipotle Lime flavoured cream cheese and it was dang delicous. The bagel was quite crunchy on the outside similar to a baked pretzel and the inside was moist and chewy. The Chipotle Lime cream cheese was zesty and mildly spicy which complemented the Rosemary Rocksalt Bagel quite well. Would recommend.
Yes the bagels are a reasonable reproduction of a Montreal bagel. But 12 dollars for a bagel with 2 slices of smoked meat on it is a crime against montreal
I came here with my brother who said I had try their bagels. I am not really a fan of bagels and thought I would go with his recommendation. We ordered the rosemary + sea salt bagel with garlic cream cheese toasted. Best bagel I have ever HAD!!! I was visiting for the week and I came almost every day just to have this again!!! The only issue is that you need to come early to make sure there are the special flavour ones and also sometimes the line can be so long just pay and then extra wait if you ordered it with cream cheese or toasted can be really long.
I'm not a bagel expert but these are SO good. The texture is so great as well as the flavor. There's usually a line But it's fun to watch them make bagels in the big fire oven while you wait so the time flies by.Definitely a must-stop for me when at Granville Island and hungry
I’m disappointed I ordered egg Benny this morning the value is quite low as the portions are all quite small.
Drove into town to pick up meat stuffed bagels and some smoked meat to go. I was informed I couldn’t purchase it deli is closed??? They could make me a Reuben but not sell me any of the meat even though there was a huge slab in the showcase.
Might be overhyped. Was almost $8 for egg, cheese, and tomato on a bagel and it was just average. Still good but honestly no better than a BELT from Tim’s…
