Might have been my choice of order, but the food was not good. It had no flavour, good nor bad. Meat quality was good but the dish was basic and a waste of moneyI chose the braised chicken with rice. I thought it would be like Oyaku Don (or a not deep Fried Chicken Kutsu Don).
What a Nice Surprise! The desk at The Wall Marriot recommended this establishment as good and reasonably priced. It was a Monday evening so very quiet but we were welcomed and just wanted a light meal. Ordered some nigiri sushi and tempura. Both were excellent; fresh and delicious. The house warm Saki smooth and elegant. Service was wonderful. Recommend.
I had lunch special with friend.Their portions are small; especially for the meat. I didn’t like their udon because it wasn’t very flavourful. The salad dressing is also too sour so didn’t enjoy that. Agedashi tofu was good but expensive for the portion. Overall, the only thing I really liked about this place was their brown rice which was surprisingly good because I normally don’t like brown rice.
went here with my friend, food was incredible! nice quiet ambiance and excellent service. lots of great vegetarian options too, i got the geisha girls roll and i highly recommend. my friend got the dragon magic roll and she loved it as well. definitely would eat here again!
Great quality ingredients and nice service, but the food was quite bland. I was really disappointed with the beef udon, and spicy salmon roll that I had. There was nothing spicy about that salmon!!!!
This place is the pinnacle of sushi. The Jasmine tea is fragrant, and the miso soup is the best I've ever had. Together they created the perfect warmth in my heart to compensate for these brisk fall days. The Sockeye salmon was delectable, and the maki rolls- made with organic brown rice- were surprisingly amazing; I didn't know I needed brown rice in my sushi until I'd experienced it here. I'm celiac, and it's a struggle to find GF food that is this good. The server was so friendly and kind, creating a very calm experience. My soul felt like it was taking some much-needed R&R. I will never be able to forget this place; it's an utter shame I live so far away.
We went here for dinner as "drop-ins". We were just walking down Hornby and looking for a quiet place to eat. This place delivered and more. Service was friendly and attentive ut not too so. The vegetarian entrees were especially good. A green roll both tasted and looked great. Prices were reasonable and sushi while not over the top was satisfying.
Grabbed a yam roll to go and ate it by the beach. So good! Fresh and so delicious. Gotta come back. Loved the customer service and the food! Awesome atmosphere too!
As someone living with celiac disease it is very hard for me to find delicious Asian-fusion gluten-free food almost anywhere, so I was delighted to find Shizenya. They have a vast array of gluten free options - their mango California roll is my favourite.
Very cheap for the amazing food you can eat there! ?
