Our Super Hero Turkey Cardini sandwiches were amazing today! The 50/50 Iced Tea was really yummy too. Great little sandwich shop!
Say Hey is back and oh my gosh have I missed it.These are the best sandwiches in Van full stop. Everything from the bread to the toppings to the condiments are top tier and worth mentioning on their own.But where they get big props from me is a wide selection of genuinely delicious vegetarian options. You've got multiple options with different flavour profiles to tempt you back for another go.So stoked to have my favorite sandwich fix back. The question isn't if I'll be back but rather how many trips to Say Hey in a week is reasonable.
Holy meatballs!! This place is AMAZING! My staff have been raving about it for weeks and I finally got to try it myself. Both my partner and I agree that they’re the best sandwiches we have ever had. We shared the Meatball Hoagie and La Bomba. Both were exceptional but I prefer the Meatball if I had to choose one. Friendly staff and cool vibes. We will definitely be back for more. What a hidden gem in Chinatown! Chinatown has so many great little hidden gems and this is definitely one of them.
Delicious sandwiches and very tasty broccoli slaw. Lovely service. Just as a side note, the washroom was very clean —a nice bonus!
100% best sandwiches in Vancouver. Was beyond stoked to see them reopen recently. Meatball is out of this world good, and so glad to see more veggie options on the menu. I will say the two times I’ve gone since they re-opened the food was outrageously salty. Couldn’t even finish my Rebekah sandwich today unfortunately- I love salty food but that was a bit much for me. Stoked to come back and try more new menu items.
We found this place on social media and decided to give it a try today. Tucked away between Sai Woo and Newtown Bakery (both, which are pretty good) is Say Hey Cafe in Vancouver - Chinatown. The employee at the front was very friendly and welcoming. We tried out the Dip Dip turkey sandwich and the Granny Roast beef sandwich since they were out of the meatball hoagie.I must say that the sandwiches were really good. The kimchi paired well with the provolone and turkey and with the nice dipping au juis sauce made of brown butter. The roast beef sandwich “The Granny” was also really flavourful and tasted fresh and great!I will definitely give this place another try and hopefully come back to try out the meatball hoagie. I am really happy and pleased with the service and food we received.
Wow, this place is DELISH! The sesame hoagie-bun is so soft and the perfect vehicle for everything inside. I always look for a fresh tasting homemade-sandwich place in any city, this is that for downtown Vancouver. They have as many vegetarian-friendly options as meat-friendly, all sound delish. Went with the staff's 1st recommendation: The Granny roast beef: 10/10.
Don’t think about it, just go and have one of their sandwiches. Honestly some of the best sandwiches I’ve had. I tried the meatball which was really good but messy. Cool little spot in Chinatown. Nice place to walk to if you live downtown and it’s a sunny day.Parking is just street parking which is hard to come by.
Say “Delicious”!Hands down the best sandwiches I have ever had. Amazing flavour combinations made with high quality ingredients. Lovely quick service from a charming lady working the register.Try the cookies if you want to cap off your experience with a taste explosion!
Fantastic! I had the Rebekah vegetarian sandwich that I made vegan by removing the cheese (I was told all their sauces are vegan) with a side of potato salad (cheese also removed) and hey-chata (their house-made horchata. Packed with flavour and the bun was incredibly soft! My only regrets are getting the smaller bun instead of the hoagie - I just wanted MORE even though I was full enough. And I’m only in town for a short trip this time so I was only able to visit once. I can’t wait to visit again!
