Good food nice service and friendly staff
Visited Salathai, as staying nearby at the Sheraton Wallcentre for a couple of nights. Booked online 30minutes prior, and after a brief walk arrived to a warm welcome from the hostess. Offered a choice of tables, even though the restaurant was pretty busy. Ordered 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 rice and drinks; 2 beers and 2 wines for $90.00 total bill. Portions were generous, vibrant to look at and extremely flavoursome. The best meal we have had whilst visiting Canada and cruising to Alaska. The waitress was friendly and service was efficient. Would highly recommend a visit.
Great experience, yummy food, very busy when we went, Took long to get drinks, but all food was fantastic
Not worth a dedicated visit. Came here for lunch, ordered chicken satay and beef drunken noodles. The chicken skewers are made with breast meat, so it was hard and not very flavorful. The beef drunken noodles are flavorful but a little too salty for me. The noodles are not well tossed with visible unflavored white chunks. The beef slices were not tender. A bit hard to chew. The service here is SLOW. I arrive at 2pm on a Tuesday for lunch. With only 5 tables of guests at that time. I had to wait for more than 20 minutes for the noodles to arrive.
Absolutely delicious. The Thai iced tea is sweet and has a mild black tea flavour. The red curry with chicken dish is elegantly prepared. Portions are smaller than I expected, which is ideal. Amazing service, friendly and relaxed. Great place to visit.
The food is very tasty, the portions are incredibly adequate and the service is acceptable. been here 4 times. will be back.
The service was great from the welcome to our lovely server. We ordered chicken satay starters and spring rolls which were both very good. We then ordered the beef salad, a chicken curry and noodles. The salad was very spicy and far too much of a vinaigrette taste for me. The curry was not bad, not packed with flavour by any means but ok.
I’ve eaten SalaThai twice now. First time was dine in. Fantastic experience! Second time was a pick up order. It was very difficult to order over the phone due to language barriers and when I picked my order up.. the rice dish was a normal serving (cause rice is cheap) although they forgot the chicken I wanted in it, no problem, still charged the same though! The chicken dish I ordered was a COMPLETE RIP OFF!! Compared to what I originally had when I dined in.. pretty much only half the chicken was included. That will be the LAST time I order for pickup.
My wife and I ate here while visiting the city. It was a nice dining experience. The service was very good and the food was outstanding. I recommend calling ahead for reservations. That tells you all you need to know.
Let me start by saying thay were doing a brisk take-out/door dash business as we walked in. I think this alone says a lot about a restaurant. Our food was the freshest of fresh. Every vegetable on my plate was fresh and perfectly cooked, the chicken tender and the sauce delicious. We enjoyed our very attentive service throughout the mesl. I highly recommend this restaurant!
