Visited Vancouver in March of 2022 stayed on Robson and discovered The Rice and Noodle Restaurant. Loved it because they offered very affordable combination meals for families. Visited again in May 2022 and some what disappointed as they only offered individual entrees. Dined in and ordered the Yellow curry and Laksa. Both were very tasty but not as good as having a variety like before. The place was super busy, ordered from a counter and then they brought it to us in the small dining area. Good for a quick meal!
I got the Panang Red Curry for a very reasonable price (for downtown standards), although the portion was on the smaller side. You have a choice of spicy levels from 0 to 10. This would be a good choice for a quick lunch, but I would recommend getting take-out instead.
Wow!!! Spicy spicy spicy!!! Red carry was my favourite but every single item was ABSOLUTELY delicious
Robson Street, the place with about a thousand noodle joints to choose from. I tried this place and the food is amazing with lots of flavour and customized protein and level of "heat." We really enjoyed our meal and it was not expensive like you'd expect for this part of town. The only downsides are: no parking, self serve counter (no table service) and the loudest kitchen I've ever heard. I've posted a video. Super noisy kitchen equipment and super loud music. I recommend take out. However staff were very sweet and accommodating when I asked them to dial down the tunes. I would definitely eat here again, but probably take out.
Great price, great food. We had the curry and noodles. The flavors were amazing and we had it at very hot spicy level. This was perfect after a stroll on Robson. $10 and I added $4 extra for 2 orders of beef to my curry. Very worth it, cheap, fast and good!!! I'm definitely going to recommend this place.
Ate here twice! Budget friendly quick and delicious food! They should introduce better utensils so it’s easier to eat the meals.
This is probably my favorite restaurant in Vancouver on a quality to price basis (very tasty with decent portions and yet doesn't cost much). The atmosphere isn't much but it's not bad (it's not a date place). I don't go for the looks anyway. I go for the food which is always fresh and delicious. I've never been disappointed. Also, I like the fact there are no servers. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. You get your own water too. No one bugs you asking how everything is while wanting a minimum 20% tip. I still tip but not 20%. Give the place a try!
It is one of my favorite places because food is always amazing, portions are big and prices are great!
great quality food that is made fast and fresh right in front of you, and allows a for lots of modifications so that you ensure you get the perfect meal FOR YOU. I love the option to add spice levels 1-10 as I am very sensitive to spice, and my partner loves it. I always order the Tom Yum and order an extra side of noodles and broth and veggies, which basically doubles your Tom yum portion for half the price. My partner loves the Laksa, and finds it so flavourful it always able to cheer him up on a bad day. Have also tried all of their curries, the pad Thai, the Mongolian stir fry, and the pineapple fried rice. I would highly recommend them all!Try to be patient with the staff if you go in as they are always so busy with the phone ringing off the hook, a million door dash orders etc
A small, uncomplicated menu. The food will leave you satisfied with its good flavour and decent size portions for the price. The staff/cashier person I had today was very friendly, which always makes the dining experience better. I got the Thai soup dish and it was delicious. I would definitely come again. My only issue was that the place was a little cold, I had to wear my jacket while waiting for my warm food.
