Was there on the weekend brunch with family. Nice small-scale outdoor patio and the beers were great that everyone had a good time until our food (burgers, breakfast plate and fries were great) was hastily placed on our tables by a seemingly exasperated cook as she apologized for the long wait time though it was ready in less than ten minutes after we ordered it.
My first time dining at Red Truck Beer with my hubby and brothers after work. Recommended by hubby who goes there with his co-workers. We were meeting my hubby at Red Truck Beer. My brother drove me and when we rolled into the parking lot I didn't expect it's where craft beer is brewed. My hubby did the ordering as he was there first with garlic fries and wings. You need to order at the counter and pay first. You'll get a number to take to your table which helps the server to bring your order to the correct table.I had the Fish Sandwich which had beer battered cod, lettuce, tomatoe and siriracha mayo with side salad (gotta had something healthy right?) :). It was a large sandwich and flavourful. With the crunch from the beer battered cod and freshness from vegetables this was a great start to a weekend. My brothers ordered Smoke Brisket Sandwich and Sante Fe Eggs so I can't really comment other than they enjoyed their meal.Great times at Red Truck Beer! I can't have alcohol but still had a great time at Red Truck Beer!
The chicken burgers and garlic are a family favorite but one of the times here for lunch, we could not focus on our conversations and felt pretty annoyed hearing a staffer making verbal noises and constantly saying "don't do it" in what I assumed was her way of mocking Asian accents. A table beside felt bad for us and said it sounded inappropriate to us as well as offering to buy a pack of beer for us but we politely declined. I probably would have given four or five stars but our favorite dishes will be takeouts than to dine here for a while.
I was at Red Truck tonight. The food was good for a brewery. We liked the garlic fries and burger was decent. The beer was so-so, some were good and some were ok. My main disappointment with Red Truck is they don't accept cash. I have been to Red Truck many times over the years and I will never go there again. I will not support any business that is cashless in the future.
Came out to check out the live music and while I was here, decided to try what was on tap. A pretty good selection of beers, and there is sure to be something everyone will like. Ordered the cheeseburger and man was it huge, great value.
The beer is not very good, unfortunately. It's not up to par with the competition. We tried a number of the beers on the tap list and they were all nondescript. Would recommend going to any other brewery in the area for beers instead.Didn't try the food so can't comment. The space is large so it could definitely accommodate a bigger group. Service was pretty good.
No table service means there is always a queue you’re waiting in. Standing in line to get in. Then standing in line to get a beer. Add service or add another server at the bar. waiting 10 min in line to buy a beer is a poor experience and why there are so many better, growing breweries around the city that do it right. Faster people can pay for their drinks the more money they will spend.
I have to say, the customer service and quality of beer at this local establishment are both top shelf variety. I mentioned to them about a possible problem in production they might be having, and they corrected the problem, and went the extra mile. Don’t buy Bud, buy BC. So many great local breweries, we are spoiled here in the lower mainland. The folks at Red Truck are top notch!
Good breweryWhen I buy their can beer ... it was so badBut when I tried their beer at brewery! It was great !
That chicken burger is absolutely delicious. I had it on my first visit. I've been here 5 times now. The chicken burger was so good, I have not even bothered trying anything else. I beg for it each time I return. One issue with this area, is you'll occasionally see hypodermic needles lying around outside. Watch your step. Nothing against this restaurant. It's just the area it's located in. I still highly advise visiting this restaurant/brewery. It's great.
