I got the worst customer service during my past 6 years here in Vancouver. The staff appeared nice at first, but when the food quality problem occurred, they not only did not take it seriously but also attacked us in a passive aggressive way.We ordered three jumbo shrimps and many other items. My two friends' shrimps tasted fine but mine smelled stinky. At first I thought maybe I smelled it wrong, but after a bite, I was sure it went bad. I also let my friends smelled it, they both said it was disgusting. It just completely ruined my appetite.I told one of the staff the shrimp went bad. She took it from my hand and literally did not say anything. I was confused. I thought at least she would ask what was wrong. And I thought maybe she was going to let the manager know. Then after about 3 minutes, another staff came and asked, "so do you want us to bring you a new one? But it might not be that different from the one you got though." Whattttttt? I was shocked about what I heard. THAT SHRIMP IS STINKY!!! I do not know if they even checked the shrimp. I should have argued with them but sadly I just said yes and they brought us a new one. I regret it because when I now look back, I feel like my basic right to get safe food was violated and they were being so rude and ridiculous.THAT WAS NOT THE WORST. We were sitting at the bar area and when my friend who sat on the left turned to talk to us, she saw that the staff were talking and sometimes quickly and secretly glancing at us. Apparently they were talking about us in Japanese. DON'T THEY HAVE ANY RESPECT TO CUSTOMERS? Sadly we do not understand the words they were saying but you can just tell from the way they talked. Later, they still came and served us like nothing had happened, but anyone could just feel the smile on their face was so fake.We selected that place to have a good time with friends because there are so many good reviews about this place. It turned out to be an absolute joke that we spent over 100 dollars on food that went bad and the most disrespectful customer service I have ever got. I also worked in customer service myself and I understand it is never easy. But what I experienced was just beyond my imagination and I hope other people will not be treated the same way.
Came here on a Sunday evening and we were happy that we were able to get a table. Which leads me to my only tip. You should probably get a reso if you plan on having a late dinner. Fortunately we came at opening and they had tables available as long as we were done before 6:30.My girlfriend and I ordered a couple skewers. We got chicken, eggplant, octopus, asparagus, gyoza, and salmon. We also got their corn Karaage and the Carbonara udon. The udon was probably my favorite dish. Had a decent amount of crab in it. It reminded me of lobster mac and cheese. The skewers were alright. Nothing to get excited about. I definitely can't recommend the octopus. It was so hard and rubbery; like eating an old gummy. The corn is the reason why I was excited to go to this place after seeing a couple posts about it. Not sure what I was expecting. They were just good. Not mindblowing. Can't even say I'd buy them again, but $8 I guess it's a decent dish.Overall, it was a decent experience. The service is awesome, but I don't think I'd come back. Just not for me. Our bill was around $50, which is alright for the amount of food we got, but the actual flavours and food were just...okay.
Amazing service. Amazing food. I would love another meal there soon. The grilled corn was so good - I want to know how they made it.Tako kimchi with the seaweed was devoured. My 12 year old child loved it just as much. You must try the hojicha pudding for dessert- I'm already going to try and make something similar for home.Thank you for a lovely evening.
Very good customer service. Friendly staff and they come to check up on you regularly. Their food menu shrunk quite a bit, now they are narrowing it down to mostly kushikatsu. The prawn, wagyu, and Camembert cheese is quite good. The imitation crab and chikuwa is not bad as well. The oyster and scallops are rather small and tiny.Such a shame some old items are gone. Seafood bombshell was bomb. Their grenade was a pitcher of beer with many other shots on top, that was always fun.

The service was good and made me feel friendly. The food is also delicious, the grilled fish is recommended!
It's just like Osaka. So rare to find this specific style of cuisine. Multiple tables of japanese patrons signal the authenticity. Good food, good drinks, great service. Reservations are a must.
Food was OK, but service was terrible. Servers were half hearted and very difficult to reach out to. I felt my group was poorly treated during the whole time. Avoid, because they are only interested in whether you want to order more so that they can get more tips in %.
I went there to try the fried skewers, kushikatsu. Overall, the taste is good and I got a good experience. I tried fried foie gras, unagi, etc. My favorite one is ice cream puff. The staff were very nice and attentive. However, I think the price is a bit too expensive for it.
Hoke grilled fish and the beef steak bibimbap (tender meat, savory rice) were amazing! Pork and lotus root skewers are good too
