Well, this pub definitely raises ‘the bar’! The place has a lot of cosy pub touches like vintage light fixtures and rustic woodwork on the walls. We had dropped in for a quick drink and a bite, and had a drink and truffle tots. The truffle tots were a perfect savory snack. I got great advice on my drink. The staff is very welcoming. Certainly going back for food!
Great food, friendly environment and very accommodating. The GM greeted us at the door and made a patio table for 5 of us. The severs were very friendly and knowledgeable on drinks and food. The drinks are quite small for the price but delicious. The food was great! The bennys are to die for!
Came here for dinner and some drinks. Drink selection is huge for mixed drinks so if your a drink connoisseur this place is definitely the right place for you. For me I was overwhelmed by the drink menu so I just stuck with beer but the selection for beer wasn't the greatest.We had the fried chicken and poutine for appies. Chicken was great the poutine could have been a little better. For our main we split a patty melt which was great. It was unfortunate that a side isn't included with any burger you order considering the prices they charge. Overall, service was on point.
Great cocktails and nice staff, fairly busy
Pourhouse was one of my favorites from years ago, until they stopped lunch service. Since I worked in Gas Town, I frequent there for lunch. However, I didn't realize they started up serving lunch again. My most recent visit, the vibe was just as good as I remembered. The food? It was a big improvement with premium ingredients and next level gastronomy.The 7 oz. dry-aged Pourhouse burger with a thick pork belly was savory and juicy. I asked for medium rare for the patty, and I got perfection. Food was reasonably priced as well for what you're getting.As for the alcohol, Pourhouse focuses more on crafted cocktail and spirits. The beer list isn't as substantial as other restaurants nearby.The hospitality was excellent. The hostess and waitress gave an earnest service. Water was topped up consistently and small talk didn't feel awkward. Basically, it checks all the boxes.They should bring back the order sheet that customers fill out, as that's what got me into Pourhouse years ago. I thought it was unique way to order beer and sandwiches for lunch.
I love burgers. On my quest to find the best burgers in Vancouver, the Pourhouse constantly popped up on my radar.I came here with my fiancé about three weeks ago and then again the following week. The first time, we had the Pourhouse and the Queen burgers and on the second occasion we had the double bacon cheese smash burger.Pourhouse Burger 8.9/10 - this burger was excellent. The quality of the meat and the enhanced flavour from the pork belly, grainy mustard, caramelized onion, and aged cheddar is just exquisite. Although I prefer a smash patty, this burger definitely hits the spot.The Queen 9.0/10 - I actually preferred this burger to the Pourhouse burger. The smoked bacon and tomato jam combo along with the brisket and chuck blend of the patty was just incredible. Both are excellent burgers, however, this one takes the cake when looking for a beefy, juicy, delicious burger.Double Bacon Cheeseburger 9.2/10 - this is one of my favourite smash patty burgers in Vancouver. Probably in my top 5. Onion is diced perfectly, Patties are smashed and crispy at the edges and the cheese was just perfectly melted. The bacon elevated it to the next level and is definitely what makes this one of my favourite burgers in Vancouver.On top of the burgers, we also tried the scotch egg 8.9/10 and the truffle tots 9.8/10. Highly recommend dining here.
Decided to pop into my favourite place for Live Jazz Thursdays. I had the duck leg feature and it absolutely blew my mind O-M-G. I paired it with a few merlots and I was ready to hit the town!. The manager is always so lovely and accommodating. The servers are also very very lovely and attentive. Best place in Van for Live Jazz Thursdays!!.
Just went for a quick drink but what an experience. Staff was super friendly, bartender extremely knowledgeable. My drink was an explosion of flavour, fresh with a delicate finish of absinthe.Would definitely like to go back to try their food menu on my next trip!!
Ordered through a delivery app and didn't actually receive a burger! After calling them, they said to contact the app and I could reorder the item if I wanted through the app (after already waiting for 40+ mins). Cool. I will never order from them again.
