I loved everything about this place, except that the hostess brought us to the furthest corner with no view at all, well I would understand that if we come into the crowded place, but we booked the table for 5pm and we entered the restaurant first, there were no clients yet.Other than that it’s was great, dishes delicious and looking good.
Recently had dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! They have an extensive wine menu and the cocktails were great! Love the ambience and the music put it over the top for me! The staff is super friendly and my guests and I really enjoyed ourselves. If you are in Vancouver don't miss out on this delightful restaurant!
What a great dinner my family and I experienced here! The food was delicious, we all left satisfied. Service was fantastic too. Had a young girl, really sweet and polite and the other staff were friendly and helpful, some small chitchat makes it feel like home. Haven’t been there in a while, forget what a nice spot it is. Enjoy!
Great food, service, and ambiance. With a good parking lot in front
My husband and I tried several meals at this place in one evening. All the meals were incredibly tasty with a good balance of condiments. I was especially impressed with their Mussels and Calamari. They displayed the Mussels in such a way that you can see each mussel inside the shell and no shell missed a single mussel! They were big and juicy, and our wonderful server also offered to bring more bread for extra dipping. Definitely the best Mussels we've ever had! Also, none of the meals were too salty, and thank you for being considerate and good at that. Salt can be always added, but not taken away once the meal is prepared. I have been to many and different kinds of restaurants in Vancouver, and of all places, I have experienced the best etiquette here. A good balance of friendly and professional, helpful and on time with all the food. As to one of the reviewers below on 18% tipping included, every restaurant does that when you have a party of 6+. This is nothing new and this place did nothing "dirty" in that regard. It's called "Gratuity". Just to be aware of that for next time. You do not have to tip more if you do not want to do so.
Visited on May 13, 2022 without a reservation. Was seated after waiting 10 mins. We ordered the Lamb Pappardelle, and Seafood Linguini. Both were delicious and fair portion size. Service was wonderful. Would come back again.
Seriously so delicious! We had to dinner destination in mind and drove by and decided to flip a u turn and give it a try. Italian food is always a pretty save bet when you're traveling. So glad we stopped. The food was so good. We had the bruschetta and warm olives for our appetizers. Other than the pits in the olives both were suburb. For our entrées I had the spaghetti and meat balls and my husband had the nights special ravioli. When I say the spaghetti was cooked perfectly I mean they write directions based off how perfect it was. Our service was great even when how packed the place was .If we ever head back to Vancouver we would definitely eat here again
Have been here numerous times before. It was a staple of Italian food. Never the best but it was always good.Went here the other night and had the worst experience. Arrived and the hosts seemed annoyed that we arrived. Asked us if we had a reservation, and when we said no acted as if the restaurant could not seat us. That wouldn't have been a problem if they were busy, but almost all tables were empty. But still I gave them the benefit of the doubt here and was ready to leave with no animosity. The hostess continued to make it out to be such an inconvenience, "I will have to see if we have any room for you, if we can squeeze you in since you don't have a reservation like most people would..." Odd encounter at this point but that is fine I guess. Obviously we were seated right away as the restaurant was pretty sparsely populated. We sat down, our server approached and we ordered some drinks. Unfortunately we should have ordered everything at once, as I did not see our server again for a very long time. Our drinks, when they finally arrived, were watered down, and I could barely taste any alcohol. We finally flagged down our server, who again seemed annoyed at our presence in this pretty sparse restaurant. Our food arrived, and it was cold. I mean it was lukewarm at best. It was flavourless and just was not a good meal.I think the restaurant must have changed hands, as this is not the service I am used to. We had to wait for a long time to finally get the bill. There was no opportunity to tell anyone about our food, no one seemed to care. The server asked when I was paying "how did you enjoy your meal," I responded honestly and said I didn't, they responded "that's nice..."This used to be a good establishment, not anymore. Save your money and eat anywhere else, I hear McDonalds is a good alternative to this.
Dirty, dirt, dirty. First off, so nice to get together with friends as restrictions are starting to loosen and people are feeling more comfortable getting together for gatherings. 7 of us met for dinner, 5 of them pensioners. Two bottles of wine were ordered and shared among my husband and 3 other people. Both bottles ended up on our bill; the server should have clarified prior to dropping off the bills. My husband told me not to worry about, he didn't want to make a scene. When we got our bill it was $200. My husband tips a minimum of 20%. The next day, one of the people in our party said he was quite upset as when he got home, he noticed the restaurant added a tip onto the bill (18% I believe). So in essence, approx. $30 was automatically added to our bill of 2 people on top of the $40/20% my husband would have left. So the server got $70 from the two of us alone and apparently the other three groups didn't notice the 18% either and also tipped on the bill. Nice way to treat pensioners and welcome people out of a pandemic. Servers should ALWAYS advise customers that a tip has been included! Dirty, dirty, dirty.
I've driven past this restaurant so many times wondering. I'm glad I finally came here. It's a lovely and cozy atmosphere while still being spacious with lots of room between tables. The calamari appetizer is a meal unto itself. Two of us split most of it before our meals arrived. The Drunken Muscles were also ordered and looked exactly like the online menu photo. The sauce was great soaked into the appetizer bread.I've never had pappardelle & lamb before so at the ordering of two others I was game. After all the calamari and drunken muscle sauce soaked bread, I only managed a few bites, as I was stuffed. I'm glad they recommended it though. The only disappointment was the chocolate cake which had a distinct coffee flavor, and I don't like coffee.
