I really enjoyed the pepper steak with mash potatoes and peas. I wish the pies themselves were heated as well and not just the toppings. ??
I’ve lived in the UK in the past and so I’ve had my fair share and I must say peaked pies’ were great. Definitely should try, truly unique in Canada. I want to give 1 star for the service but I won’t penalize the shop because of the great food, especially addition of mushy peas!!! Regarding the service, absolutely rude and emotionless waitress. We’ve come to expect friendlier service in Canada and being helpful about menu choices, especially if someone hasn’t tried something. 0 service!l, great food. Will visit again, hopefully someone else’s shift. 5 star for the food.
Aussie Pies peaked with creamy mashed potatoes and peas got me dreaming of summers back in Australia. Ordered the Guinness steak and traditional Aussie pies, both peaked and they were really fantastic. Inexpensive too. Must try this if you are in for a quick bite in the area.
I got the Steak and Guinness peaked sooo good and homemade tasting hubby got the steak bacon and cheese half peaked without the peas.
Crispy pies filled with amazing goodness! The peaked mash, peas and gravy complete the meal so definitely worth the add on. The desserts are delicious as well.
Great and welcoming place. Feels fresh and inviting. The food is fast, delicious, and comforting. They have great vegetarian options, and their gravy is also vegetarian. For meat-lovers there's plenty of awesome meat pies too. The beer on tap to go with your pie was a nice surprise :) Definitely coming back when I'm in the area again.
Firstly the raspberry pie we ordered arrived burnt. The cinnamon buns were crispy on the outside, so stale. Called store, person not helpful. Emailed owner and after three days still had no response, hence me leaving a bad review. You only have one chance to give a first impression… peaked pies gets 1/10 Burnaby location
Drove quite a distance on slippery roads to get the 5 pies. All of them were delicious! I gave 3* bcoz of the packing! Each was in separate paper bags and the lemon was in a box, then all chucked in a plastic bag. No foil or plastic sheet was covering the sweet pies so ended up upside down and stuck to the paper…
These pies are amazing and very filling. Got the Traditional Aussie. Highly recommend adding the 'peak' which is mash potatoes, mashed green peas and gravy. their breakfast combo is a good deal if you're there by 11am, the Ned Kelly is meaty with an egg and you get to choose any specialty coffee.
I tried chunky steak pie and it was amazingly delicious. Can't wait to try more of their pies.
