First time ordering from this location; we ordered from Kingsway until it closed.The food we did get to eat was hot, fresh, and tasty, but the paper bag was overfilled and weakened by condensation. It split open and spilled our food everywhere as soon as we started to carry it into the house. It would've been nice if it had been packed better or the driver had warned us not to hold it by the handles.They also ignored the directions we put into the form when we ordered, but that's pretty standard practice for Peaceful, so we've come to expect it.
we wanted to get dumplings and they do offer a great amount of options on that… we ordered the beef rolls, steamed pork buns and fried chicken dumplings. all of them were ok, but didn’t really amaze us. i found them to be a little tasteless and boring. definitely overpriced for what you get. the waitress came across pretty grumpy and annoyed. the restaurant itself is shabby and overall it was a weird flair.
Picked up dinner to go. All food was really good hand made noodles were excellent really nice texture and very tasty as were the dumplings, tender and delicious.We had requested pickup at 5:00, got there a few minutes early and food came out right at 5:00.Will definitely be back.
I appreciate the staff working hard there! It’s not worth giving a 5 star overall, however we loved the Soup Dumplings.
Bug in the soup, I just realized what the black spots in the soup are. Ate a lot of it. Gross, and after reading other reviews I see that this isn't the first bug found in their food.
~ 2:00 pm of Dec 12, 2021, we went to the restaurant on Broadway, Vancouver. The waitress is impolite. The food does not tasteful.The Peaceful Restaurant used to be one of my favorite restaurants - I sometime ordered lunch or went there with my colleagues/friends/family. However, today's experience is really unexpectedly uncomfortable. I understand COVID-19 pandemic makes everyone unhappy. Still, the restaurant's owner should hire a waitress with basic customer service skills, therefore, the restaurant's reputation will not be ruined unnecessarily. I miss the nice smiles, tasteful food and peaceful atmosphere it used to be.
Was asking something about their menu and the server was just rude and yelling. I was going to order few dishes to go. But after the unwelcoming and rude attitude, i just left. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND, TERRIBLE SERVICE RIGHT AT THE FRONT.
We got the soup dumpling, beef rolls and the spicy and tangy dumpling in soup as appetizers and a couple different noodles for our main. The food was excellent! The lady that was helping us was extremely nice! She even have us free chocolate cake as a dessert!
@@@ update: my friend got diarrhea for two days afterwards!! Feel so bad and won’t recommend this [email protected] to this Chinese restaurant used to be my favorite in Broadway and Cambie area on Friday night.No lineups, the waitress waved us to a small table by the window. Later on we realized it’s a mistake, I was freezing every time people in and out from the door. Had to cover myself with my coat.It’s full of customers and there were only two waitresses working. The service was poor and one waitress was extremely rude and unpleasant.On the flip side, the food was good enough to come back for but think twice if you don’t want to lose your appetite for rude service.
Excellent food prepared fast for our team during our lunch break. The dishes were flavourful and colorful with bright flavours and decent sized portions. Worked very well to share. We were hungry ate so fast I didn't even take a picture. Will definitely return.
