Update: Still a solid poke place, decent portions, good quality, albeit a little pricey at $19 for a regular bowl. The chicken was tender and the salmon was good quality (I added $1 for spicy sockeye but unfortunately I got regular sockeye). However, the portion of salmon was a little small, as you can see in the photo. The rice was sushi rice (bonus points!) and the sauces (spicy mayo and sesame miso) were flavourful. On the expensive side but it was a tasty lunch and I would recommend.
I was in Vancouver for a medical procedure at Vancouver General Hospital. Before going, I did some research on restaurants and food offerings near my hotel (Holiday Inn, Broadway) and found this interesting place. My first night in the city I went across the street from the hoteln main entrance to this tiny spot for my first-ever poke bowl. The place was nothing as I expected. The counter service was swift, but a bit confusing as whoever I was talking to was talking back to me via a mic/speaker system and I had a bit of difficulty understanding anything she said. It all worked out, though. I picked the Veggie Bowl and sat in the front window eating it. I quite enjoyed the experience and watching the steady stream of people popping in for take-out. I'll stop by here again.
I’m always ordering from here - it’s my go-to place to satisfy all sushi/poke cravings.Portion sizes are very fair, and everything is ALWAYS fresh! I would highly recommend the “Main.”Staff are always so friendly, and the restaurant provides wooden forks instead of plastic which is a +10 for me.If you walk-in, they have a stamp card where you can work your way up to a free drink or bowl.The Yerba Mate kombucha (local brand) is also amazing. I’m not sure where they get it from - I haven’t seen it anywhere else! Worth a try if you like that sort of thing.
Super disappointed. There’s nothing like seeing a new guy make your bowl that is half the size of all the other bowls ordered by the customers behind me. I haven’t even eaten it yet and almost don’t want to. He was so timid to scoop anything out of the containers, put such little rice in there to start. Once girl who had just begun making a bowl for another customer as in was leaving had already put more in the bowl then mine was at the end of him making it. Can’t see myself going back, when there are other poke joints around that are generous and have equal or better quality.

Pacific Poke has ruined every other poke place for me....it’s that’s amazing. I come here all the time and I honestly think my favourite part is how warm and welcoming their staff is. I usually do a build your own and I find that the ingredients are always fresh & delicious.

Excellent quality poke. Salmon is fresh, rice texture is perfect, & seaweed salad is a must to try. Portions are generous and satisfying. The restaurant owner and staff are friendly to interact with and always contribute to a positive dining experience.
