I got the spicy soup with sliced marble brisket and a side of sweet corn with a friend, and it was very hearty and savoury! It came piping hot, and the meat was extra tender and flavourful. Even though they soecialize in Korean Fried Chicken, their other dishes were great as well.I will say that the sweet corn was a bit pricey for the portion size, and the soup was a bit on the oily side. Overall, would still highly recommend giving this place a try if you're a fan of Korean cuisine.
Chicken is very tasty, Korean pop videos in the background and has an overall youthful vibe.Chicken plates are generous. They put a water bottle at the table.Japchae and soy ginger chicken are good choices for people who are not good with spicy food. This place is open late and has a good number of seats. I haven't had to wait for a table. The restaurant is on the second floor and I didn't notice an elevator so I don't think it's an accessible place. The alcohol choices are limited. Korean beer is on tap.Nice place to nosh until late. Good quality, generous chicken plate, they don't hurry you along.
Food was okay. But the sever treated us rudely. We were there for barely 1.5 hours and he started making us uncomfortable saying he needs to clean the table. He literally stood near the table with cleaning equipment and stared at my sister while she was putting her jacket on. Is this how you treat your guests ?!? Wanted to have a fun Christmas Eve dinner with friends and family but our moods were ruined because of his behaviour. Restaurant owner if you are reading this take note that customers are going out of their way to support your business during these difficult times. And before you respond know that I work in the service industry too. This is not how you do business! Never coming back !!
Heard about this place from my friends and decided to give a try. The restaurant looks kidna cute. Pretty busy and packed with people during dinner time. A bit of the wait but not too long. Service was ok.The spicy squid was good though too spicy, wish we could adjust the spicy level. Chicken also good but more on the pricey side.Worth a visit and recommend to group of 4-5, you can share and try different dishes ???
Oh, this restaurant is very good. It's reasonable, delicious and cheap!!It's my first time because I think some Korean restaurants are expensive but here is nice!I wonder why You don't come here!I recommend you this place. If you were thinking what you should eat, you could come here as soon as possible!!!!
Hands down to the best korean chicken I’ve ever tried. Love the flavors and the price was just right for the amount of chicken that was served to us. There’s tons of people dining here though so I didn’t enjoy the part where it was loud and I can’t hear myself talking to my friend that much. (It was friday night) Anyway, I came for the food and they did not disappoint!
Went there for dinner last night. Checking vaccine passport was straightforward and easy. We ordered three dishes: (1) Half & half (yang nyeom & spicy soy); (2) seafood pancake; and (3) gimmali. The chicken was fried perfectly with crispy skin. Spicy soy was good but yang nyeom was sweeter than those served in other restaurants including the ones in Korea. Their seafood pancake version did not have shredded fried potato on top (common among other restaurants) so it did not have the contrast texture we like. It ended up mushy and bland and hence quite disappointing. The best dish surprisingly was the gimmali which was fried perfectly with very good flavor. Service was good too.
The food and yogurt soju were delicious. Friendly server but the music was so so loud.
First time at Ole Korean Fried Chicken on Robson Street. Yummy fried chicken. The fried chicken is perfectly balanced between sweet and spicy. Staff were great and friendly. Definitely give this place a try if you're looking for some hot fried chicken that's a little different from everywhere else. Recommend.
Tried this on a whim while visiting vancouver, what a surprise!! Great squid and chicken. Fun atmosphere.
