Great vegan options and very fresh! I love the veggie banh mi, although is a little dry. Would be nice to have vegan mayo or avocado to replace! Peanut sauce is delicious and spring rolls aren’t too heavy or oily.Overall quality is so high and so fresh, veggies taste amazing. Definitely come back here! ?
Not as tasty as I was expecting. Would rate it a 2.5 out of 5 but rounded up. I do not recommend the salad roll not very flavourful and the dipping sauce does not taste good.
Great banh mi for the price (our family loves the honey garlic chicken particularly), but the 5 stars is for the customer service. There was a problem with gift cards we purchased but even though it was invalid, they made it right and accepted any losses as a cost of doing business rather than pointing fingers at the payment provider. Very refreshing and appreciated!
I am a pretty serious Banh Mi connoisseur. I order from every hole in the wall I can find and I will go pretty far afield for a good sandwich. This is by far the best Banh Mi I’ve ever eaten!The service, speed and overall experience were all superb. But the sandwich, my god the sandwich!The pork spring roll was excellent, so much meat inside! It probably could have stayed in the fryer a little longer, but it was still delicious.The mango smoothie was exquisite, the perfect level of sweetness. They must have a good blender because this smoothie was smooth!And finally the lemongrass chicken Banh Mi was a work of art. It was perfect. The bread was just excellent and crispy, but buttery soft on the inside. The meat was plentiful and well seasoned. The classic combination of peppers, pickled veggies and cilantro was in the perfect proportion and so tasty. And it was all topped off with a wonderful sauce that brought everything together. It left me wanting more right away.I wasn’t planning on leaving a review, which is why I didn’t photograph it, but after eating it, I needed to share this. I can’t wait to try everything on the menu, I’ll be back very soon.
I ordered a deluxe cold cut banh mi through DoorDash. I received an email and text confirmation quickly that the restaurant received my order. It was quite fast. When I got to the restaurant and picked up my food in 15 mins or so, the banh mi was ready for pickup. The restaurant was quite efficient.It was my first time to try the banh mi here. The deluxe cold cut banh mi tasted delicious. The bun was crispy outside and soft inside. There was a lot of ingredients as well. It was great to eat it fresh!! It was big enough for me that I had to save some for the next day hahaI would recommend this banh mi restaurant to others. I know there is competition in the neighborhood but in terms of quality and quantity this one is QUITE GOOD!! I had some banh mi elsewhere. The bun was big and had less ingredients or it was cheaper elsewhere but the quality was not good.
Banh Mi was nicely crisped and tasty. Definitely a place to visit. I ordered the Honey garlic chicken and Sate Beef.
Ordered the lemongrass chicken banh mi for takeout and the baguette was pretty crunchy ...in a sense that not a lot of crumbs fell out. The chicken was juicy and had a very light lemongrass flavor. Liked how the jalapeno was very thinly cut. They put a lot of sauces in if so the bun wasn't dry at all.
Definitely recommend this place. Food and coffee are so good. They open early like 9am so I don’t have to eat McDonald’s and Starbucks everyday! Price is very fair and staffs are very friendly and efficient.
@obanhmishop offers some of the best banh mi’s in town. I’ve been frequenting their Metrotown and Kingsway locations since their opening. They offer lots of delicious options and it’s very convenient to order online and pick up at their locationsAll their banh mi’s are made fresh to order and the bread had a lovely crunchy outer layer encompassing the soft inside bread and tasty fillings. My favourites are the lemongrass chicken, honey garlic chicken breast and Sate Beef with extra meat and fried eggs. I highly recommend ordering their bottle Vietnamese coffee and nem fries & spring rolls
The deluxe cold cut is pretty good. 15% discount when ordering online, and is a reasonable price. It's become my go-to banhmi shop on Kingsway.
