I had to deduct some stars. I did go prior to the pandemic including me 4 people in total and the food portions were much better and leaving us too full and there was no time limit and the tea was hot and we were only ordered two high tea towers for the 4 of us and a 5 out of 5 stars/ This time post-pandemic it was a complete 180 change to a 2 out of 5 stars the most. The service was making it not a 1 star. This time around there was a time limit and the food portions has became less and much smaller than before and not filling whatsoever, and does not match the expensive price. Plus now the high tea is one per person and prior it was 2 per person I believe it was 1 per person, but we thought it would be too much so we shared and still it left us super stuffed. We were rushed and also FORCED to order 1 high tea per person, so meaning now if three people are at the table we need 3 high tea towers, or high tea tower for 1 person and the rest would have to order sandwiches instead with no room to share whatsoever, ridiculous. Also this time around the tea was also not hot it was cold and the second time we did tell the server that we wanted hot tea still it came out cold. Plus the photos on the Neverland Tea Salon website does not match the actual portion size, which is something they should change or update. People would think based on the photos that is what they are getting, but that is completely false and you would be severely disappointed. The first photo is the food portion and the amount of food prior the the pandemic. The second photo is the change in the food portion and the amount of food post pandemic.
We had the mad hatter high tea. It was yummy and cute. They have huge tea selections.
Amazing.First, you can change your tea through the high tea service. The Almond Joy is my favorite.Second, the savory and the sweet treats on the high tea service are equally delicious and high quality.Neverland has been my go to since 2015.This year, the Mad Hatter high tea was great!They have Vegan, gluten free and vegetarian high tea as well. And they are so good.Highly recommend you go at least once.It's worth the splurge.Plus the place is so cute.
LOVED this place!The bottomless tea options are to die for. They currently have a mad hatters theme going and it's amazing.The food tower is a great mixture of sweet and savory. The atmosphere is vibey, yet cozy also very friendly staff.Definitely will be going back.
Went there with my daughter for our 11am seating. We went for regular and children high tea. The deco matches Alice in Wonderland. The food came fast, delicious but a little bit cold. It is awesome to have unlimited tea selection so we got to try what we never had before. The chairs are dirty with stains. I would like to suggest them to use a stain remover or sofa cleaner to clean.
Went here for high tea with my girl friend during their Winter/Holiday menu and was absolutely amazed.The tea was hot and the flavours they offer are so so so so good. Many unique teas to choose from. We each got a different tea so we could switch and try both. They offer re fills and you can switch your tea choice as well.Little snackies and desserts were displayed gorgeously and tasted 10/10. Highly recommended bringing a girl friend or two here for a cute brunch moment.
Looked forward to this place, but ended up leaving disappointed.Cons:1. A limited time seating of 1.5 hours - so you feel very rushed. However, with this location they book you in via slots (eg: 12:30, 2:00)- so there is no wiggle time for you and your party.2. As for food safe procedures, not only did I manage to find one strand of hair - but I happened to find a strand of hair in THREE SEPARATE food items. If I managed to find strands of my hair in my food, the restaurant holds poor hygiene and safety precautions in food preparation. They happen to have a gluten free option too- however I would not be surprised if there was cross contamination with the food, so caution if you have celiac disease. Staff was apologetic… but they were very defensive and spoke in a gaslighting manner - saying this never happens or trying to explain how some food develops fibrous strands which looks like hair…Other things to comment on:As for tea- it comparable to other high/afternoon teas - they had a large tea selection and variety of different desserts and savoury sandwiches. They had an Alice in Wonderland theme, but it was mediocre- nothing spectacular just added a mini toothpick with a card flag.There’s plenty of other high tea available in Vancouver within the same price range that provides better service, food and quality of care with their food management. Management offered a small compensation, however for the amount of repeated mistakes from my visit and poor explanation the staff provided, it felt inadequate and degrading for me as a customer.Overall, I wouldn’t recommend. The kitchen could probably opt for use of hair nets to avoid this in the future. They should also opt for better training for their staff in terms of resolving mistakes on their end in the future.
It was absolutely wonderful! We got the tea menus with wine paring. And love the fact that you get unlimited teas with any menu! We tried three types of teas each and I have to say we ABSOLUTELY LOVED all of them, especially berry me in champagne, Russian rose, Rose, and night market mango. My partner's favourite was Rose and night market mango. And the food, even though it looked tiny, it was quite a lot! We were stuffed before we even came to the scones. And our server was very kind and welcoming too. Loved the mismatched chairs and decor overall as well!
Oh my word. What an absolutely magical place. I've never had high tea before, but now the bar has been set. I booked an online reservation and everything was ready. We were warmly welcomed in by the staff. Our server, Grace, was incredibly attentive and friendly, always checking in to make sure we had what we needed and making wonderful suggestions to try different tea flavors. She was so knowledgeable. The sitting room decor is so whimsical, fun with incredible attention to detail. The food, scones and sweets were absolutely decadent! What a perfect day to share with someone special or even just to treat yourself!! Thank you to all the staff I had a smile on my face for the entire day ??
What a great high tea experience. I went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. Everyone was covid safe. The unlimited tea was incredible with lots of options for those who are not fond of caffeine. There were also great options for people who were vegan and gluten free.The staff are polite and kind. The decor is whimsical and 'gram worthy. Will definitely be back. A practically perfect place to celebrate.
