Great setting and store front. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere.Avocado toast was interesting and supposedly why millennials are broke!Super tasty coffee too.

Don't be put off by the surrounding area. The cafe lies between Gastown and "the unfortunates" (for the want of a better word"). Has very few tables (was this due to covid ?) Sells superb artisan bread and baked items. We thought the food and coffee was excellent but it's not cheap. We would definitely revisit if in the area. I think one of us described it as "hipster"

Cosy and quiet ambiance. What a stark contrast with the street a bit further.Romantic and aesthetic place with fresh flowers.Recommandations : honey turmeric latte and a cookie. I don't drink coffee but I think they look amazing.

Bread, FIRE. Pastries, FIRE. Atmosphere, calm and lovely. I haven't tried their coffee but I'm sure it's good, what I would recommend is any of their bread/pastry goods ESPECIALLY their sourdough. Boy. Their sourdough is amazing, the best sourdough I've had here. Soft and supple interior with a chewy and flaky exterior, their bread is perfect for toasting, eating alone or with some butter/jam, or making a sandwich. I highly recommend trying their Full Nelson Sourdough sandwich. The ingredients and how everything combines together so well. It's a homerun.

Very cute spot to enjoy good coffee and have a fresh snack, and also hang out ;)Bread is delicious! They also sell some nice local products.

Discovered this location as part of the Hit Chocolate Festival. Great bakery!!

We thought we'd checkout this awesome looking joint in the heart of Gastown with their intriguing 'Jol With Me, Honey!' as Parr of the Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival 2022, a great cause and way to support local businesses.Their hot chocolate was super yummy, really tasty and an elegant vibe of infusing honey without making it too sweet tasting. Absolutely rad, loved every second and the honeycomb chocolate treat was the perfect dipping buddy! Trust me, some of our friends got hot chocolates from other places but this joint was a cut above by far and our buddies were super jealous eh.A great vibe, super sweet joint to eat and drink in a laid back and minimalist clean setting. I love how they have an open style bake house inside and look to make some dope looking baked treats!Support local businesses!

Great place to grab quick lunch and coffee.Place is quite big so you could study or work a bit but they close early (3pm)Foodwise, compared to the price, the qty isnt that much (1smoked salmon on 1 toast is way too little) bit except that, their sourdough tasted good

My last visit to Nelson the Seagull Café was a hot summer day back in 2018, cold brew coffee weather. This time it was on a cold and rainy day. It was not a planned visit to the bakery/café, but my mother needed breakfast quickly and we were right in front. I had an Americano along with a wonderful avocado toast with a poached egg ; it held me all day.. Mum had a cappuccino with the toast with roasted peaches. She thought her cappuccino was great, but was not a fan of her order as she does not usually like sweet breakfasts ( I tasted it; it was good though, but in her hunger did not choose something savoury).

Enjoyed how spacious it was inside! We got the peaches toast - the highlight was the toast itself with a crunchy crust but a soft interior.
