To me, this is about as authentic a casual Korean dining experience can get. Generous portion sizes, a straight-forward menu, family-run business, intimate customer service, and of course delicious hard-hitting flavours all make this one of my favourite Vancouver restaurants. I was visiting from out of town, otherwise I'd visit this place a lot more often!I had the soondae soup, with a choice of spice level (medium for me, I'd recommend mild or low for most folks ?). The pickled radish and gim (nori) that came with my order were delicious too!Shoutouts to Jeff and his parents! ? We need more restaurants like yours in Vancouver and across Canada ✌

It was my first time to try the Korean SoonDaeGook and I like it! I ordered the small size and the portion is quite big for me. My friend ordered Gamjatang and she couldn’t finish it because of its big portion! We both like the soup very much and definitely will come back!! The owner was nice to us too.

Simply wonderful. Their menu is amazing, and they make truly spicy food for those who enjoy it. I can say it's certainly the spiciest Korean food I've eaten, Seoul included. I've fallen in love!

best Korean stew I’ve ever had in Vancouver. Super cheap for the quality and amount you get!! Second time visiting and will definitely keep coming back.

I previously bookmarked Namsan to try some of their food one day. I walked past by Robson all the way to public market and stopped here since I was very tempted to try it.Great menu if anyone is into pork intestines, pan fried intestines and etc. Plus there were soups to try on the menu. I tried #1 regular pork sausage soup ($13.99) it came piping hot. I had to wait awhile for the food and that was okay. Besides there isn't much staffs around and you're expected to wait awhile for the food.My food came with rice, spicy radish, seaweed, dipping sauce and some chilli peppers. I wish that staff was more helpful, but they were too busy working or talking with others. Otherwise, the food was great. The soup didn't come out as spicy as first. Condiments were included to control spiciness. I don't recommend putting the orange powder which might be a cayenne pepper.Loved my food! It was definitely comforting on a cold winter days. I'd love to try some Soondae (pork blood sausages) on its own or other dishes. My only complaint is the tiny amount of side dish for my food, and it was mostly the seasonings that came with it.

I bought food from another stall but chose to sit near this Korean stall becuase it was closer to the exit. When I sat down, the Korean male owner started yelling at me from his stall saying that the tables were for customers only. I told him I was waiting for my food and he wouldn't stop yelling cuz he didn't trust me. I didn't want to be as unsophisticated as he was so I quitely waited for me food. When I picked up my food, I purposely brought it to his stall to show him my food. He realized I wasn't lying and probably felt ashamed for yelling at me. He started yelling at me again... He was being uneducated and yelled at me in the public cuz I wasn't his customer??? Very rude and ignorant, I would't buy ANYTHING from him if I ever crave for Korean food. THE OWNER DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SHOW RESPECT TOWARDS OTHERS.

Food tastes great. The owners are not. Such a shame that they ruin their delicious food and their own business with poor customer service.

The cashier man has a cold attitude, but the food is unbelievable.

I'm not super experienced with Korean food, but my jeyouk was delicious! It could have been spicier, but it was full of flavor. $14 each for bulgogi and jeyouk; both came with pickled radish and a small package of dried seaweed. Very casual and totally worth stopping in at Robson Mall.

It’s the best korean restaurant in Vancouver. And the owner is so kind and warm person. His recipes are legendary. Definitely my favorite place ^.^
