This is another pho gem of a place. It does not have one of the biggest (Best value) portions when it comes to price, location and decor hence the 4 stars but it redeems itself in taste and quality of ingredients.Definitely give this place a try, the taste is excellent.
Excellent service first and foremost! Great prices, $40 for 2 Large bowls of Pho, 2 Giant spring rolls and Coca Cola! The spring rolls were crispy and crunchy, very flavorful and a really hefty size compared to any other we've tried, definitely homemade. The pho was very tasty, tender beef, flavor packed beef balls and all the fixings you'd expect in a great bowl of Pho, we'll definitely go back ?
Been a few times to My Chau Restaurant. They specialize in pho ga (can’t go wrong with either get #1 or #3).Most recent trip was a Friday lunch with a buddy. Hot tea is dropped off right when you sit and food comes out quickly.- Ca phe sua da (#105) ($4.50)- Herbs - basil, bean sprouts and a lemon wedge. Fresh and plenty of beans sprouts.- 2x Pho ga don (#3) ($12.25 large) - broth is clean and simple. The deep fried chicken comes on the side; touch of crispiness to the skin. The side of nuoc cham perfectly compliments the chicken.Cash or debit only.
The pho ga (chicken pho) here is one of the best and they have two styles - fried chicken leg or mixed innards with quails egg. Both are great, depends on what you're feeling that day. The other items on the menu are also tasty and well done. The owners here are also super friendly and it's a family run business. Good comfort style pho!
Feel like I'm dining in someone's house with their relatives enjoying some good down-home grub.
Got takeout from here and overall enjoyed the food it. We had the salad roll with shrimp, special beef pho, the shredded pork, grilled pork and spring roll on rice vermicelli and a side chicken leg. The only thing we didn't like was the shredded pork had a really weird taste to it and almost made the whole dish taste off but we were able to just remove that part and it ended up ok. Everything else was really yummy! It was all very reasonably priced and everything was ready 15 minutes from when i called them. Just a note they told me when I arrived that they only take cash or debit but they did end up taking my credit card as it was all I had on me.
Very nice clean environment, staff is very hygienic and sanitary. Large pho was smaller than what I was used to and soup was underwhelming. If you prefer a lighter soup and smaller portions, this place is perfect for you. Not for me though.
Came here because it was a cold day and we wanted hot soup, and apparently the parking is easier than going downtown. I had the special beef pho. It was okay. It had tripe, beef balls and all the other things you expect in a special beef pho. I didn't think it was spectacular but it was fairly good. The restaurant itself is very bare bones. There's no decor whatsoever, very simple, very informal. A little cramped - the server kept knocking into my chair whenever he walked past. I've also ordered delivery from here before - the congee with assorted beef organs. It was okay as well, a little too much of one thing and not enough of another, in my opinion. Does not accept credit cards - how inconvenient. Service was fair, they offered us hot tea in Cantonese but my friend assured me that the owners are really Vietnamese. This place is out of the way for me so I personally wouldn't bother coming back. There are places I like much better.
Number 45-- beef vermicelli is very tasty! they do the fried spring rolls so well :) the price is well set too, i think
Easily one of my fav places to go to! I haven't tried everything but so far what I've tried is made with love and care. Owners are very very friendly and even though I don't go there a lot, they remember me and what I like to eat. You can be sure I'll be going back there again and again and again and again!
