Super delicious and friendly wait-staff.
We really enjoyed this find in Vancouver. As a fan of Moroccan food and as a someone who has spent extensive time in Morocco and elsewhere in the Middle East, they got the spices and flavors right. I know some reviewers were concerned about the neighborhood but it is a block away from the main street and we never felt unsafe. It is unfortunate that there are pockets of poverty in Vancouver and this can sometimes be concerned unsafe. If concerned, go when it is light out. I am sure you will not be disappointed.
We visited this place as a family dinner. The staff were beyond friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the platter and one thing that I loved was that they brought the soups in individual bowls for us. The platter on its own can be a full meal! And the bessara soup was something from heaven! The stuffed mini eggplants were phenomenal, too.\\nFor the main course we ordered different items to try and the goat dish and tagines were literally the GOAT. We will definitely go back to try their other items.\\nOne great experience we had was that they forgot one of the tagines. Mistakes always happen; we are human. But, what they did about it made our visit more lovely. They brought a big bowl of soup for that person to start eating at the same time as others, and of course they did not include it in the bill. It was such a kind gesture we all were happy about it.
Happy overall with the experience. The food was very good, the servers were all friendly and attentive. That little stretch of street the restaurant is in in Gastown felt a bit sketchy but I felt safe as soon as I stepped in the restaurant. I will go back for sure!
Loved it! First time trying something new and this place was amazing. The staff was super friendly and their meals were to die for. Overall, amazing time :)

Wonderful spot for a unique experience with extremely tasty and healthy food. I loved the spices in all of the dishes and the variety of stews. Im not a vegetarian, but I found many of the lentil and vegetable starters to be just aside, if not more delicious than the meat options. So many wonderful flavors to share around the table (make sure you try the fresh bread, it's outstanding). The harissa prawns have a slight kick to them, and the tagine duck with figs and pears was cooked to perfection. I can't wait to come back and try more!
This place instantly became my favourite high end Arabic cuisine in Vancouver! Walking in, the atmosphere was excellent, everyone was smiling and there was a belly dancer welcoming guests. It was a cute gimmick. We were early but the owner got us a table. He introduced himself and made us feel very welcome. The rest of the service was excellent. We had one main waitress but others helped her as well. Each was smiling and made sure to ask if everything was to our liking. The waitress, Sasha, was elegant and extremely accommodating. We had taken my mother there for her birthday, but we were just there for dinner so we didn't tell the staff. Sasha overheard and got us a free desert. The music volume was just right and on theme. Which was much appreciated. The food was absolutely perfect. Every tastebud satisfied. The sweet with the salty, the perfect texture, honestly, I don't have a single criticism. Well... they brought our main course slightly cold but remedied the situation immediately with multiple apologies but never lowering the standard of service. Their second attempt at our main course made you close your eyes in awe. Leaving, the whole staff seemed to know who we were and individually thanked us and waved. I had to stop and thank the owner for an excellent experience. I so very highly recommend this place! Excellent food, excellent service, and an excellent experience.
Our server was so lovely and fun! The food was incredible. Get the vegetarian sampler and youâll be so happy.
