I come here fairly often for a late afternoon snack. Menu is short and sweet, which shows a restaurant is focused on what they serve best. Of course, their food is amazing, served quickly. The owner is friendly, welcoming, and has shown me kind gestures such as slightly discounted drinks and a faster burger as i'm a recent regular as well. I plan to be back often.
This is the best burger and fries meal I’ve had in as long as I can remember!! With fresh made triple English beef and fresh cut fries made right in front of you. Nothing sitting on the shelf or prefab. The owner operators were delightful and work right at the front. They’ve had this place for 21 years and counting!! I I hope that patrons will continue to support it because I would hate to see this place close down. Eat less, eat better! As you can see in the pic it has a fun 50s vibe!
My favourite restaurant in Calgary! Food is phenomenal and flavourful. Always comes out fresh and hot, and service from staff is always amazing as well! I absolutely recommend this place to everyone I know and frequent it quite often!
This was my first time trying this place out. Friendly staff greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. Nice and clean interior, with huge ceilings and seating available upstairs. I purchased burgers and fries for me and my spouse, and they were totally awesome. Great buns, fresh and flavorful ingredients, the tomato tasted like it came out of someone's garden and not typical bland restaurant tomato. The hambuger itself was really good. Large patty, lots of flavor but not overseasoned at all. The fries were fresh, crisp and not overdone. It was fast (about 6 minutes) but much better quality than typical fast food fare. Would definitely recommend trying this location out on W. Broadway!Thanks again Moderne Burger, you made someone staying at VGH a very happy person!
Delicious burger. I would order another angus burger from them. It was enjoyableThe other restaurants in the same building were using buzzers to let customers know when their food was ready instead of traditional paper tickets. Otherwise, it was good
Burgers: Real ingredients, flavourful patty, bun was toasted on the outside and fluffy on the inside.Milkshake: Had the vanilla malt shake, it was the perfect balance between malt and vanilla. Hands down the best milkshake in town.Overall a great eat with wonderful service.
Got this on take out, the burger was very delicious. The fries were okay. Overall would definitely try this place out again.
One of the best Burgers in town imo. Their business is hurting right now especially with the construction going on in front of the restaurant. Support small local businesses if you can.
There is no better burger in Vancouver. The meat is the best one can buy, and the fixin's are fresh and flavourful. Never mind, the french fries are outstanding. There are no better either. A chocolate shake to top it all off is amazing. Thanks to Peter and his family for providing such a great experience.
A burger that fits in the bun... thank goodness! Great fries. Staff who are clearly not hired every 3 weeks (not under 20 years of age). My favourite burger location when I feel the need for that treat. Wish they were open later, but easily accommodate their schedule because what they make is great! I have gotten others hooked on them, they are that good.
