My favorite place for fresh fruit bubble tea. Their prices are quite cheap as well, $5 for a large if you order a weekly special. $6 for any other large teas. Haven't tried the other tea or food, but would recommend the fresh fruit options. This place only takes debit or cash by the way.
Always loved going to Milk & Sugar over the past decade, but staff recently have been absolutely TERRIBLE.I ordered a drink from their weekly specials and forgot to add pearls.. so I very politely asked the staff on cash, the shorter boy with glasses and puffy hair, if I could still add pearls. He immediately threw his hand up and waved me away, telling me, "It's already made," in a very rude manner, but I said okay and left it. However, my friend and I did not see any drinks made and continued to wait another 15 minutes before we watched him make the drink from scratch. They had already served others who had ordered after us as well. When I picked up the drink, I mentioned that he had said it was already made 15 minutes ago and he proceeded to ignore me, so I left. Had he told me that it was not possible to add pearls after the order had already been placed instead of snapping and making gestures at me, I would have been perfectly happy with the order as it was.The next time that I went to Milk & Sugar, the same staff was working, but he was not on cash. He was making drinks. When I received my drink, there was a VERY large block of ice inside, which I have NEVER seen in a bubble tea and which made it difficult to drink and took away from the contents of the drink. Was it a deliberate act of passive aggression? Or was it an honest mistake? I can't imagine that large of a chunk of ice could be an error.Love Milk & Sugar, but awful and petty staff.
Great selections of different tea based bubble tea, fresh fruits, and icecream slush - or as I see it, milk shake!! Very reasonably priced. They also accept personal cup. Otherwise it's 25cents for the cup because of city bylaw. They let you mix and match different flavour if you like even if the combo isn't on the menu.
Best Bubble Tea in Vancouver. I was so lucky to live beside it for many years and was one of their first customers when they first opened. Staff is so nice and it's always bubble tea perfection. I don't give my business to anyone else and stay loyal ...although place is always busy, I will always come back to this one :)
Super overrated place. Maybe if we were still in the 90s this place would be considered good, but now with all the competition, perhaps the only thing that's still going for this place is nostalgia. Drinks were mediocre and the menu is so scattered and confusing. To add to it, even though they claim we need to show vaccine passport for dine in, they never checked. I definitely do not recommend.
I've been a long time customer here and have recently been extremely disappointed with the quality. Ever since they opened their second location closer to Joyce Station, the quality at the original Kingsway one has severely gone down. I ordered the Rose Mango Cheesecake with pearls (one of my favourite weekly specials) and couldn't even comprehend how disgusting it tasted. Wasn't able to identify what the flavour was at first but having read some more recent reviews, I realized it was spoiled milk. The pearls are no longer chewy like they were before as if they've been left out for a while, and the portion isn't as much anymore. At another visit, my friend ordered a small and we pretty much got the same amount of pearls. I was the only one ordering at the time too so there really isn't any excuse for this. Really wish the original owner Steve comes back to this location from time to time because the two ladies running it at the moment are clearly doing something wrong.
Fantastic staff, super helpful and tasty slush! Please see my edit, they overcharge depending on race.Edit! Doing my banking and realised my first visit I was absolutely ripped off, I didn’t think anything at the time but after visiting another 4 times I realise now I was overcharged massively on my first visit. I was upfront about being new to bubble tea ordering, and needed help. I was taken advantage of!!Then on my latest visit (yesterday) my slush was so watered down and gross, I will not be recommending to anyone! Yuck!
Ordered two mango strawberry cheese cake bubble teas and it tasted off like spoiled milk. Phoned them and they wouldn't even refund us. Told us nothings wrong with it. Definitely won't be going back.
we ordered a strawberry mango cheesecake bubble tea from there and it tasted rotten. they wouldn't give our money back and Said nothing was wrong. and then proceeded to try and tell us that we were under charged and that it wasn't even the drink we asked for. we had two different family members try it as well and even they said it tasted bad. we opened it up and it even smelt bad.. Never going back.
I used to love this place; however recently when i ordered bubble tea, it legit tasted like i was drinking water mixed with boba.edit: ordered another time, less watery, good improvement
