No wait for a walk-in on a Tuesday evening at 6:30 PMThe service is welcoming and I felt comfortable dining solo.I ordered the beef brisket soy bean paste soup (a little too salty, but comes with a lot of brisket, tofu, and onions) - it came with rice and three side dishes (sweet potato, radish kimchi, pickled seaweed) the soup stayed piping hot throughout the meal.Hoping to try their BBQ and dessert next time if I’m dining with a group.The music playing was korean hip-hop and wasn’t overly loud, which I appreciate. The NBA themed decor is a nice touch.The bathroom seemed very small, one of the two stalls was out of order
Got the pork belly and it was pretty good. The kimchi in particular was excellent. I just wish the portion was bigger. The steamed egg was decent and milder in flavour. The tofu was nice and I liked having the sesame oil and ssamjang to dip. The pork belly had a good ratio of fat to lean meat but it could be slightly more tender and there were a lot of soft bones which detracted from the experience. Overall a nice experience but it's pretty loud due to how the space is set up.
Had the pork neck bone hotpot and the japchae. Both very excellent. Highly recommend.
You have to get the home made cheese sticks, honestly absolutely amazing. KFC here is a big portion for a half order and the stone bowls are packed full. Customer service is awesome too. All around amazing spot. ?
All staff was very nice! Knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. Food was great, the soy garlic fried chicken and the spicy squid & pork belly lunch box are new favorites. First time having rice wine and it was locally made in surrey, would definitely have again! Will absolutely return to try more dishes

I visited Midam Cafe last week and I absolutely LOVE the experience.Good service. Will absolutely go there again.1. BBQ Squid and Pork Belly 10/10My favourite dish of the meal. Pork belly is PERFECT! It melts in your mouth and it’s super flavourful. Squid is delicious and there are a few rice cakes as well. I love the spice. HIGHKY RECOMMENDED!2. Midam Platter With bulgoki 8/10Go watch my last reel. You will be drooling for it. They have cheese, fried egg with rice, udon, bulgoki and corn. You have the option to choose pork sirloin or bbq squid and pork belly. It’s so satisfying to mix together. I also love the Burnt Rice at the bottom. I would say this portion is enough for 2-3 people. I find this platter on the sweeter side which I don’t prefer. I would rather have a spicy dish ? but it’s awesome to order this with your friends.3. Tiramisu Shaved Ice 10/10Love the tiramisu. The cake and ice cream have a strong coffee flavour. Shaved ice is so FLUFFY!! The best ones I’ve ever had so far!! I wanna try other flavours as well.
I order pick up and often dine-in here however, customer service has not been the best the past few times I have ordered pick-up. Once, they were closed but had no info anywhere they were closed so I made an online order and paid. When my boyfriend went to go pick up the food, the restaurant was closed. I called the restaurant so many times and when I finally got hold of them the next day, they said they will call me back in a few hours with their solution. No calls, so when I called back again at the end of the day they told me they know the situation and will figure it out with no apology for us having driven there to pick up food and them taking the payment online. They finally gave me a refund few days later with no apology or explanation. On another occasion, they forgot to add in the rice that I ordered. When I called them they apologized and took down my email so they can refund me the money as it was too far for me to drive there again to pick up the rice and once again nothing. No refund, no communication. Food is good but lack of communication and poor customer service leads me to not want to place any more orders here.
Food was so-so but several disappointed services were provided.First, there was only one server covered dining hall, it was not easy to order the foodSecond, the server was looking at the check while I signed up. It was pretty much pressure only to add tips which is not unusual things based on experience.If I have a chance to choose a Korean restaurant I don’t think this restaurant will be in my list.
Love the food here! Especially enjoy the Strawberry Shortcake Bingsu :) The sweet and sour chicken was also very good
